Do you think the Refs want to see a sweep or stretch out the series so they can make a little more dinero
Not directly I don't think. But the cheapest seat was around what, almost $5000 at MSG ? There is so much money involved everywhere from sponsors, commercials, betting places and at the gate that everyone wants an extended series. Refs cannot NOT get influenced by it. Can they blatantly affect it, I don't think so but little things here and there at crucial points in a game and you have an extended series. My problem with officiating is not that they are crooked, even though some may be, but the fact that they miss so much stuff and they are not consistent. Maybe the modern game is just too much and too fast for human eye, and that's where you and I argue sometimes
