I’m also happy for those tortured 90’s Knicks players. Lost a few times in early 90’s to MJ, just barely lost the Finals against the Dream, and then lost to the Spurs in 99 at the start of their run. It’s been cool to see them at all those Knicks playoff games over the years.

And like many people I was way wrong about Brunson. I thought that was a dumb signing all those years back.

A well deserved Larry O'Brian for the KNicks. How do you keep coming back from deep holes every game...
Brunson deserves everything but if he had just 20 points and OG had 20, I would seriously consider OG the series MVP. The guy was such a stabilizing factor in almost every game. Just a cool customer. I enjoyed watching him in TO and I still enjoy watching him.

Dude, I dont make this stuff up.. I heard it on the Arena and other places.. https://www.totalprosports.com/nba/...ight-be-the-reason-behind-mike-browns-firing/
I know you're not making it up, and I also watched Lou Williams make that claim. But it's not backed up by the players. His sources were wrong, that happens often as we all know. It's pretty obvious from the relationship that still exists between Mike Brown and Fox actually. What I heard is that Fox was pissed that they got rid of the one coach who had actually got the Kings to the playoffs. That's precisely why he pushed for a move. I'm disgusted with Fox's play in the finals, but I'm not going to put that one on him. It's simply not fair

pound for pound inch for inch.. Brunson is not ONLY the King of New York but the King of the world.. (do you know how hard it is for him to make those shots over a guy with an 8 foot tall guy with the wing span of almost 9 feet.. the rim is only 10 feet high

it blows my mind that the Mavericks had both Doncic and Brunson. Both franchise players, and somehow managed to completed mess it up. It's mind blowing. I know we all like to laugh at the Kings, the Wizards and the Nets. But in the last decade.. no!....the last two decades... has there been a bigger calamity? Now don't get me wrong, I'm not sure two such ball dominant guys like Doncic and Brunson could have played together longer term. But surely you sell Brunson, get a pile that transforms that Mavericks team into sustainable contention? But I guess it becomes understandable when you realise the GM who did this was in a past life the Nike executive that lost them Steph Curry? The guy is a spectacular fumble machine. He's the reverse King Midas really

you hit it on the nailpoint.. Dallas had two Ball Dominant guys plus dont forget Kyrie. Its just my opinion Luka will NEVER win a championship.. He only plays Hero Ball and is a liability on defense. I don't think there is not ONE player in the NBA or College that Luka could guard straight UP..

not if he refuses to make the effort. Defence is just effort after all. He can be protected somewhat, but at certain points he'll need to move his feet. I agree it's extremely unlikely but with the right personnel around him, it's possible but much much harder than Laker fans will admit. His back court mate would have to be a demon on defence and a knockdown shooter. I'm not sure I can think of a shooting guard like that right off the bat, but surely there's one out there? He'll also need a centre who's a darn sight better than Domin-Ayton. I think it's possible, but very very difficult. And I'm not sure Pelinka's the GM to build that team

there are two things that are True.. Rudy Gobert cant shoot or have any offensive feel around the rim and Luka cant play defense.. It doesnt matter if he looses 20 lbs.. his feet are too slow..

lol! True! But Rudy doesn't need to shoot, he just needs to be at the rim tipping missed shots in. That's how he'll score. Luka doesn't have to be a great defender, but if he stops whining at refs and gets back into the half court it reduces the amount of overlaps and transition scoring of the opposing team. I'm just asking for a basic defensive contribution. He doesn't have to be Hakeem or anything. I'm not disagreeing with you at all by the way. I'm just saying that there's a world where Luka can be defensively competent enough with the right personnel for his team to win it all. I for one, as a Warriors fan, hope fervently that it NEVER happens:face-with-tears-of-joy:

absolutely. That new owner is crazy
Speaking of Owners Its time for the Bulls to send Jerry Reinsdorp to MARS. His has not had a good GM, VP or head coach since Jerry Krause (who was hated in Chicago the majority of Fans and ex Bulls players because he had Neapolitan complex) and Phil Jackson. The Bulls lucked into Michael Jordan by ex GM Rod Thorn because the trailblazers chose Sam Bowie after Akeem the Dream. Bulls can't mess up this draft by picking Wilson from North Carolina instead a Carlos Booizer's overrated off spring Cameron. If Wilson isnt there they have got to chose Darius Acuff Jr. aka Drose 2.0. Tell me I dont know my basketball gents @Federberg @DarthFed . jajaja just kidding

The Mavericks letting go of Brunson, Porzingis, and Luka - and getting next to nothing back in return - might be the biggest f-up of all time. Imagine if they kept even just 2 of them. I mean, the Mavs made a Finals appearance with just Luka in 2024.

Bulls to hire Tiago Splitter as head coach: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/49072541/sources-bulls-finalizing-hire-tiago-splitter-head-coach

I have a feeling Portland is going to have regrets over this.
I am not sure if Splitter is a good coach or not honestly. He could be great even. But I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that he has one of the coolest names in the NBA ! Tiago Splitter ! It is like a super villian....or John Wick type of name. " Did you kill Tiago's dog?? You are a dead hombre !"

Gee I missed so much these past few weeks. I did say NY would get to the finals, but I was expecting SGA & Co to thump them. What had happened to OKC? They lose their identity for a millisecond? Anyway, Knicks did the thang against a very immature Spurs who should regret this series w/ those last 2 games in particular as the worst finals appearance in SA history.

Brunson has been carrying NY for years. Remember last year. They got to the ECF because he was that dude in the 4Q. After dropping all those close games to Indy, they turned the tables this year and did the opposite to SA.

Spare a thought for Randle, who may never win a ring since he was traded to Minny.
