It is theirs to lose. They play the correct way, together , and they have game changers.
Murat Hi,

The French have solid players across the park regardless of their Super star player Kylian Mbappe, I picked them from the start to win, being half French, my mother was French it is my duty to cheer them on :)

I can't believe how stupid the Swiss guy was simulating a dive. Ends up getting second yellow and then a red... Not sure why it was said to be unlucky... perfect Karma.

This is what VAR is for. The guy's stupidity was full on display. Had he just played on, his team would still be 11 players.

Top 4 seeds into the semis. Feels like France and Argentina are a tiny step above Spain and England . Got to show up though. Semis will be nice.

It's always been a terrible match up for the French, but I must admit I'm shocked. Deschamp has not been able to find any advantages in France's greater power and athleticism. A real masterclass by Spain

Hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll defeated on the 14th of July French National Day
My dear mother will be sending down baguettes hitting the whole French team on their heads! Meh!
In saying that, it was a Great all round performance from Spain and they deserved their win

The more I think of that game, the more this is an indictment of the Deschamps tenure. I honestly don't think he gave any thought to what sort of system was needed to make life difficult for Spain. He just looked at his players, said we're bigger, stronger, more athletic, let's go! It was asinine.

I'm forced to re-assess the job he did during his tenure. He basically had the best squad over more than a decade and he got... one World Cup?? That's it?? Not good enough!

Pretty tight affair between England and Argentina. No serious chances. No hands of god, so far. This looks like it will take an individual's moment of magic. I don't see any team dominating the second half all of a sudden, unless the other team scores. I just hope it is not penalties.

England playing not to lose. Same as against Croatia in SF 2018. They might pay the price again for that stupidity. You can't play bunker after you score...

They are paying the price. Argentina brought it , England just way too passive.

By the way, Messi crosses with his right foot better than most righties.

Can't win with this mentality, no wonder why football is not coming home. You have to come out and play, like Spain yesterday. They never backed down even when leading 2:0. Now they put Rashford in 93rd minute in play, yeah right.

I will never get it...Now the English players will come out and say they should have played to win in the second half, not just to lose. Too late. You give that much space and possession to a team like Argentina, they will sooner or later figure it out. They hit two posts, and Pickford had to make two amazing saves. Like, the goal was coming ! Everyone watching saw that !

Exactly, goal was hanging in the air. It was Pickford who kept them alive. These guys scored 3 against Mexico in like 10 minutes. Clearly British should have moved forward and played the game. Now it is too late, indeed.
