What a disappointing Slam for the youngsters. Tien, Mensik, Fonseca, and Jodar are all out by R32. Those are the top four players 20 or younger. The next two, Prizmic and Landaluce, are also out. I believe 22-year old Michael Zheng is the youngest player left.

This guy has the game on grass to beat anyone. He just has to put it together. Because there is no one like Federer on the tour right now . Roger feasted on guys like him on grass...bring them in with angled short slices, pass at will... But it is wide open now.
Forget Federer, is there even anyone like an Andy Murray or JMDP on tour right now? Because these are the guys that Djokovic had to beat on the way just to even get to Federer in his early Wimbledon runs.

I know what you mean. But what I meant was specifically for grass and how Roger handled big guys with big serves. Today, if you are a big guy with a decent serve, you can go all the way without a problem if you hold it together. Roger depressed the F out of those guys. Toyed with them.

Safiullin played a great match, merit to him. Actually, he played well better than anything Djokovic offered so far in this tournament, so I really would not count him out. Obviously, one thing is form, other thing is to translate it to a R4 match against a former champion.

I dont think Phil has played tennis, and understands that grass is a special surface, agree Roger depressed the F out of those guys and just toyed with them LOL!

Agree
I was surprised with Fonseca's loss just saw high lights of his match and Safiullin played 'lights out tennis" and deserved his win
Apparently Tien had stomach issues and had to go to hospital and have a IV Drip? after his match, he is okay now
Looks like FAA will have a easy win over Zheng, leading 4-0 in the 3rd set,
In sayin that I think we should give some of these youngsters a pass in ways, grass is such a special surface and some of these younger players havent had a lot of experience on grass? transition from clay to grass is very tricky even for the seasoned professional player

I am still hesitant to get on the Felix band wagon ..If he faces Novak in a few rounds and have 6 mps against the great Serbian Faker i may decide then.

Well lets cross that bridge when we come to it :)
You cant win a GS title in a week, like some posters at TF think you can just because their Fan Boy has played one good match of tennis? lol! but in saying that you can certainly lose one....:)
