Lets see if Stefs new coaching team from Patrick M academy can do something? he really should have left his dad as a coach long time ago and not go back, bhand and bhand slice is just poor and he should have stayed with Goran instead of spitting the dummy after 1 week, when Goran told him what is needed in his current game
Goran was giving bad medicine which Stefano wasnt willing to take at that point in his career.. Yes he needs to be pushed hard and we see that he is continuing on the decline. Its in his head.. I dont care if a team of Cahill, Gilbert and Goran are working with him it wont help until his head is right. Look at Mirra and Madison .. U gotta get the head correct before the coaching will help. Just my two cents worth.

Agree AP,
Stef was used to Daddy being soft in ways, thats why I dont like Father and Son coaching teams in ways
When you have to be Tough, sometimes the son dosent like it? you have to take your medicine
That has been the case with Stef and his dad too soft with his son

That was a vintage Djokovic yesterday. It's been a long time since he's been locked in this early in a slam. If he plays at that level, it would be foolish to count him out at a place where he has won 104 (and counting) matches and 7 titles.

I will watch Matteo v Fils at present there isnt any outstanding ladies match ups I am wanting to watch, no real upsets presently
I did have a query over Fils coming into Wimbledon with his hip injury, though his last match he appeared okay
Matteo had a 'hard match with Wawrinka

Fils will be Aight..he is young and strong ..one thing I can say about him..Arthur isn’t afraid of anyone and he wants to be the best player in the world..he is hungry ..that’s my pick to jump into the mix with Sinner and Alcaraz

I also like the fact he has Goran in his team now, one thing I worry about though he has had back fractures, last injury was his hip? I just hope he can stay healthy
Being Italian its my duty to cheer on Matteo :)
I thought Keli would be around to cheer on Babycakes :) maybe work has got in the way

Matteo using his slice against Fils and it has been working so far successfully, he won the 1st set 64 and are on serve at 4 all in the 2nd
set.
Matteo up 2 sets to love winning the 2nd set 75, 2 tough sets so far in this match up, Fils wons the 3rd set 63
Matteo leads 2 sets to 1
Matteo Forza!

Matteo has the break in the 4th set leading 5-2
Matteo will serve for the match 5-3

Apparently last week Goran told British journalist James Gray he is convinced that Fils is a top 5 player and that grass can be his best surface

I have to laugh with some of these fan bases, saying after round 2 their man is either winning the Wimbledon final or will make the final
You cant win a GS title in the 1st week but you can certainly lose it :)

Jodar beats Carreno Busta in five, after being behind 2-1 in sets.
He has become a young p ick for better words in that match up and the handshake at the end of the match told the story he carried on like a prima donna before the match was suspended
BTW Busta has never won a match on grass in his seven previous appearances, he won his first match here when Shapo retired
Give me Fonseca any day over the week instead of that young up smart Jodar, anyway Fonseca has more upside to his game in my opinion

Mensik has to stop having 5 sets matches he is on court now with Dimitrov, he should be able to defeat him in straight sets

Matteo Forza defeating Fils who still didnt move all that well to me in the match and Matteo used his bhand slice well to disturb Fils

Matteo 64 75 36 63!

Good to see both players got standing ovations from the crowd!

Yeah, if Mensik is a real title contender, he should be able to beat Dmitrov in straights or 4 at most.

If you can't beat players like Dmitrov and Kecmanovic in routine fashion, then you're not a real title contender.

I dunno, Grigor is good on grass. Yeah, he's old, but he was beating Jannik last year and can still muster brilliance in a given match.

I think that's the nature of decline: It is less a matter of best form going down and more a matter of being able to play one's best less and less. Eventually the best form disappears completely (Stan the last few years), but not at first - it is just harder and harder to find, then eventually vanishes. But presumably Grigor isn't quite there yet.

Mensik at one stage had 0/10 BPs on Grigor? in the 4th set now under the roof because of the bad light
Grigor leads 2 sets to 1
