That's the curious twist. He (or they, because as I understand he and his team take these decisions collectively) committed to the Asian tournaments a while ago. Oddly enough I think he is prioritizing the Asian your over the US Open.Ugh. It really has become a disappointing season for Joao. He's barely consolidated, had really only one impressive run so far, and has been surpassed as the top young player on tour. Of course the possible silver lining is that maybe the last one will work for him. But we shall see. I hope he can come back strong in the post-USO tour. I wouldn't be surprised if he skips Asia.
