Ugh. It really has become a disappointing season for Joao. He's barely consolidated, had really only one impressive run so far, and has been surpassed as the top young player on tour. Of course the possible silver lining is that maybe the last one will work for him. But we shall see. I hope he can come back strong in the post-USO tour. I wouldn't be surprised if he skips Asia.

That's the curious twist. He (or they, because as I understand he and his team take these decisions collectively) committed to the Asian tournaments a while ago. Oddly enough I think he is prioritizing the Asian your over the US Open.

Now I know I'm too fk'n old! Watching Cruz Hewitt playing in Winston-Salem! Looks just like his MOM in the TV pic! His Dad was his age not too long ago when he was pumped as #1 by winning those early Aussie warm-ups for the AO as a kid! Like Vitas Gerulaitus, Lleyton was a solid player w/ no real weapons other than his quickness around the court! He was fortunate enuf to hit his stride at the end of the Golden Age w/ Sampras, Agassi, & others aging out! His winning Wimbledon B4 the Homogenizing of the courts proved he had little comp. outside Safin, Nalbandien, Ferrero, & Kafelnikov! Cruz was up a break ready to take the 2nd set, but blew it! Now in a battle to stay in it! "Good luck!"

I saw it; so disappointed! IDK what to say as he just keeps falling, just not as hard as Tsitsipas! Sascha's leaving him behind in Gen.II family!

These guys are in their late 20s now, Meddy turned 30 this year. Fritz, Rublev, and Zverev are all 29 or turn 29 soon. Decline happens. Tsitsipas did fall-off early, and he's 2 1/2 years younger than Meddy, but he's now 28, so no longer a spring chicken, plus...he's Sissypuss.

Stefano moves his head during his strokes.. He stays in his feelings too long if he make an UFEs and he doesnt train like he is hungry..Its call SACFRICE and you have got to be a MAN not a sissy to understand it. That is his problem.

Its amazing watching the hands of Johnny Mac next to Roger. Its two pure geniuses at work at the highest level. Every pro should be begging these two for lessons at the net. Their hands are so calm especially at the time of impact.

Along w/ being too fk'n old, I get very little sleep! Every other night I don't even try; finally catching a 2 or 3 hour nap after breakfast! IDK how I do it; hanging on to a fairly young looking corpse who doesn't go to extraoordinary means to maintain it! I don't eat right, get little exercise, & have survived all my life w/ just 4-5 hrs. sleep!

Speaking of age.. Fognini's goofy ass ex coach made a name for himself on social media (IG) sorta saying Roger is still better than 80 to 90 percent of the current players on the ATP tour. How lamebrained is that. Roger's back would not hold up for more than a few hours and he could not recover during a week long match. Its amazing how these clowns will say anything for clickbait. Yes Roger looked good out there vs beer gut Andy Roddick and Agassi walking about like he is trying to hold his next bowl movement. Once the back goes in tennis its OVER. Tennis is the one sport that requires you to use every muscle in your body. I always heard the hardest thing in sports is the hit a major league curve ball. That's nothing to compare running around on a tennis court for 3 hours plus. You cant hide on the tennis court. You can hide on playing all the other sports especially baseball but just like that great tennis philosopher Pete Sampras once stated " You Cannot Pass the Ball. "

Mac has been great throughout his retirement. Stays in great shape and still plays. If I had to list retired players who still look great, my list would look like this:
1. Mac
2. Sabatini
3. Martina
4. Chrissy
5. Fed
6. Courier

He has been in better shape the past 30 years than he was his prior playing days. If he would have taken better care of himself maybe he would have possible 4 more slams especially the 84 RG vs Lendl.. that lost haunts him more than 80 Wimbledon loss to Bjorn Borg.
