I found out about his death minutes after I told a friend I was starting to feel that he was (in part) a victim of this whole process. It is like if some big crime organization would find some small time pocket picker, bring him in and in no time he is one of the bosses-- just to be sent in jail afterwards...

The way most mainstream networks are covering this is absolutely disgusting. First, it pains me to see them referring to "alleged plagiarism". Both his "thesis" and the works he plagiarized are available for all to see. It is not "alleged", it is an observed fact.

On top, or together with that, they spin the fact that the Mickey Mouse university that gave him the phd title kept his title. They didn't say he didn't plagiarized, they said there were "mitigating circumstances". But this is spinned into something like "they cleared him". On top of that, this is utterly absurd in itself. It means they do not know what an phd should be about. Also, the excuse itself does not make any sense. It is completely surreal.

And did not even mention the biography fiction part. These people should go to jail.

That’s part of political and politically driven academic life today, if they like him they forgive, if they hate him, they kill him twice. The second time they kill is the public reputation execution. What you’re saying they’re doing is remarkable because it doesn’t even bother these people that they’re doing it in broad daylight where everybody can see that they’re doing it, but they act as if we can’t..
