Just heard Gauff has a toughy early w/ Taylor Townsend in the 1st Rd.! Is that a potential upset? We'll see! Sabalenko has Maneiro! WHO? :astonished-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth:
You really dont follow the current womens tour? I think Gauff who is the defending champion has enough weapons to defeat Townsend who is more of a doubles specialist?
Sabalenka plays Bouzas Maneiro a Spanish player ranked #40 in the world, she reached the 4th round at Wimbledon in 2025 and also 3rd round at RG and the USO
Before posting on the womens tour which you dont watch, I strongly suggest you take time out and start watching

Good God Brace Ourselves!

Osaka says she has something planned fashion wise for Roland Garros this year, she said " I feel like we lost that a little in tennis"
Who could forget that Bee Keeping out fit also the Jelly fish outfit she wore to the AO this year?
The mind boggles what she has in store for us at Roland Garros ( I know Paris is the fashion capitol of the world still:)

Sabalenka #1, most consistent at majors
Rybakina - most recent slam champion
Swaitek - presently the greatest clay courter on the tour
Gauff - reigning champion
Andreeva - most 2026 points on clay
Svitolina - Rome champion
Kostyuk - 12 match win streak, 2 clay titles
Womens Roland Garros champion soo hard to pick!
Rybakina vs Sabalenka

Some Doubles News,
As I previously posted on the WTA News, Venus Williams and Hailey Baptiste are playing together, Venus will also be doing commentary during Roland Garros

Jasmine Paolini will not play doubles with Sara Errani, to focus on singles, following a foot injury
Errani will team up with Austrian teenager Lilli Tagger, who is coached by former Roland Garros title winner Francesca Schiavone

I gathered that, both players tend to play first strike tennis, they also have to be prepared to stay in rallies, players can move them around the clay court with results, but they have to be prepaid to do that all match
