Tien.. the great American hope for clay is being handled by Cobolli
Actually I hope my Italian can go further now in his half he has the game, his serve at times lets him down, I was confident on clay Cobolli would win against Tien, who I still think has a good game for the clay, needs more time

when was the last time a number 1 and number 3 ranked players in a slam (we all know Novak was the "real" number 2 here) were beaten so early in a slam... in the same round!?

Nope not in Catholic Doctrine
Novak is often likened to the Holy Spirit, which is often associated with unmatched omnipresence, sustaining power, Novak is known for his relentless machine like consistency, sustaining baseline rallies

Well that is your opinion, I am just giving mine, Novak is very religious, he always makes the sign of the Holy Cross when he finishes a match
Interesting fact Rafa who really dosent have religious beliefs has christened his children into the Catholic faith
No, there’s a reason why I dubbed Novak “The Buddhist of Monte Carlo,” he’s a wealthy dilettante, a show off, a spoofer, hops on the next bus coming, no matter what its destination..

this is the first time in 25 years the name Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Sinner or Alcaraz has not made it to the 2nd week of a Grand Slam
2002 Wimbledon, if I remember correctly, so 24 actually. That slam was almost like this one. Federer was upset in the first round, Sampras and Agassi in the 2nd round. This was the year after Federer beat Sampras, and before he started his 5 straight Wimbledon titles.

Alcaraz wasn't born yet, and Sinner was less than a year old.

JodarGate is a good example of how quickly people jump on the latest outrage bandwagon. What a pathetic display of the stupidity and pettiness of humanity. I just hope it doesn't impact him mentally tomorrow.

This is just crazy:

It isn't just Sincarvic. It is most of the to 20ish. Only 2 of the top 11 and 5 of the top 22 are still in it. And that isn't even counting Felix's inevitable loss today.

it’s now or never for Zverev to shed Dude’s “Best Open Era Slamless Player” label
And in terms of stats, if he does win this, he is a candidate for Best Single Slam Player of the Open Era. He'd at least be in the top half dozen or so.

I believe Sascha himself thinks he's the best Slamless player, or has implied as much. I think he is, in terms of stats, even if I think there are more talented Slamless guys (e.g. Nalbandian). We bag on Sascha, but he has put together a great resume.

Shame on you Dude,, you have totally given up on our French Canadian guy
Haha, you haven't been around in awhile. I still like him, but I gave up on him years ago.

I think my timeline, in terms of hopes, was something like this:

2016-17: Hey folks, this kid is one to watch.
2018-19: Peak expectation - this is the next great player.
2020-22: Hmm...ok, maybe I should soften my expectations, but he should win some Masters and maybe a Slam or two.
2023-24: Dude, wtf. OK, I was wrong. Not even sure this guy will ever win a Masters.
2025-26: He's a good player, no more, no less. He might still have a Masters in his future, but that's about it.

Felix is the best player in his side of the draw. If he can play with the recent found poise that got him to top 5 (or 6) , he should make it to the semis at least.

Kouame's now down 2-1 in sets, lost the last two. Even if this is the end of his run, what a promising player.
