Watching Paul against Elmer Møller and Elmer took the first set and Paul the second. The young Dane is showing some great tennis.

Already lost a couple men seeds; shockingly from the US! It's become routine to either retire or WD w/ just a little bit of success beforehand! Amazing that Macháč is gone; Michelsen wasting time even traveling to Paris! Shelton's "holding on" up a break in the 5th set! How'd it get here? Sonego's no Italian Titan!

Shelton won, in the end. But Sonego is a solid player, esp. on clay. Michelson and Nakashima gone. Machac had to retire with a back injury. Maybe one of those who didn't need to play in Geneva last week?
