I still think wanting the rebound more than the other guy in your team is not a bad thing. And assisting your teammates to score is also hardly the worse thing you can do during a basketball game . The guy worked HARD. He did not shoot well, he was not a natural scorer, so he compensated for his shortcomings and found other ways to be effective. I seriously appreciate that. Many players do not bother. I am not saying he is the best thing since sliced bread. I am talking about hard work and effort, and doing whatever it takes to help your team.
Edit: I was just listening to First Take on tv and Perk said something like " The guy left skin on the floor". I guess that is what I mean. Also, the only player that has 25000 points and 10000 assists other than Bron. I did not know that.

don't get me wrong, I like Russ. But it's not a case of wanting the rebound more than the other guy. He was literally taking it out of their hands. Or in other cases, compliant team mates were screening guys to give Russ to get the ball, when they could easily have caught the ball themselves. I didn't just see that a few times, in fourth quarters it was happening ALL the time. It was unnatural. It was as manufactured as the efforts the Heat went to, to get Bam that 83. I'm not mad at it, I'm just saying please don't tell me it's as honest an achievement as what Jokic does every game

I 100% agree. CP3 was a more winning player in my view. I'm amazed that anyone would rank Russ higher than CP3
I don't think it was Russ so much as the team he was on. Them OKC days were pretty healthy in metrics. He still jacked up an insane amount of shots every game like he was auditioning at a bricklayers competition.

Looks like the Kawhi saga is over, NBA found no wrong doing so the Raptors trade will go on. Glad it is over.

so I guess he's off to the Raptors? East just got stronger.

I think Adam Silver took a look at going head to head with one of the richest men in the world with very little possibility of getting a decisive result and thought... nah!

For the record I one million percent believe this, which is why the whole narrative of greatest comeback ever gets my hackles up. I saw it with my lying eyes…

Hmmm.. this is getting a lot of traction
yes it is, but it seems like a battle within the Buss Trust. I don't think it has much to do with the takeover. It's more about whether the Trust can sell its stake or not. That's a minority stake (17.8%), that's not enough weight to affect the takeover. At this point it seems to me that Jeannie is on a power trip to be honest. Financially, selling makes sense. It's not clear to me that there's any benefit to the Trust for Jeannie to continue running the Lakers, that just benefits her as far as I can see

Jeannie is the governor of the Lakers which was an agreement with the current ownership ..for 5 years.. The villains are that POS Jim Buss and his siblings. I dont think its a man a live who would not to have Jeannie on Top..

lol! I think all of us would like Jeannie on top. But let's get back to what we were talking about:face-with-tears-of-joy:

I don't think Jeannie has done anything special in her time as boss quite frankly. Unless you want to talk about the half championship bubble nonsense in Florida? Frankly riding with Pelinka for so long is questionable to me. There's simply no way that Jeannie HAS to be running the Lakers. That's just pure ego. There are others that could do a better job. Let's be real

Hey Brotha, Give Jeannie a little more credit. Jeannie Buss was the owner in charge of the Los Angeles Lakers when Kobe Bryant won his last championship in 2010. Dr Buss put her in charge especially since his health was on a decline. Dr Buss died in 2013 but Jeannie was running the organization then while Riding Phil.. jajajajaja

she had people who knew what they were about at that time including Phil, Magic and Kobe, so excuse me for not giving her all the credit. In recent times with Pelinka? I've not seen anything impressive. My point is that the idea that Jeannie is an absolute necessity to run the Lakers is pure ego on her part. She just wants to be involved. Frankly I think it's pure bullshit that she can stop her siblings from getting a financial reward so she can play big boss is the height of narcissism. She's not that important :D

ok.. I will let it go .. I stand a better chance to convince MM that Zed is raising funds to support women's rights.
