Great win by Elena over Naomi.. Naomi was in control for most of the match but Elena stayed aggressive.. I think she had 72 UFEs .. yikes. Its strange when she wants to move she glides across the court otherwise she makes silly UFEs.. @MargaretMcAleer @kskate2 Can either one of you ladies explain Why?

Doesnt seen fair to have my girl Elena playing so early in the evening afterwards going 3 sets vs Coco in a match that finished after 1am

Welp, they didn't set the women up for success. Matches not starting until late at night is stupid when you have to come back the next day and do the final. I've been barking about it for years. Both matches should have been played earlier. They have nothing else going on. Start the matches around 4pm and be done by 9 at the latest. That way each finalist gets a decent rest and what's wrong w/ the final starting at 7pm instead of 6 to give them one more hour

And just like Wimby SF, that was Coco's match to win last night. She had all kinds of opportunities to win last night in straights and she just gets tight and it's inexcusable for someone who's won slams already.

I typically agree with you, this time I am gonna take the stance that Elena wanted it more just as she did the previous night vs Naomi.

It's nothing against Elena. I like her equally when she's not wrapped up in that man, but Naomi and Coco both went mental when they had chances to put her away.

This may be the most competitive USO for the WTA in a while.. I know I said I still have Saba as the favorite, I still think Elena can go on a run..
