Again.. sometimes you have to look at your team and try something different..

Like child-bearing, there's a limited time window & it's growing "shorter" w/ the speed & physicality of today's game! IDK why people aren't acknowledging that; actually thinking the 20+ yr. tenure of the Big 3 was normal! It wasn't & it isn't! They were of a different stock of champions that may never be seen again IMO! Carlos & Sinner can have all the talent in the world, but they won't last half as long! Even though a "WTA" thread, it's not worth speaking of concerning the ladies! Martina was an anomoly & the Williams sisters left & returned several times over the yrs.! Navratilova's the only female player to hang in there for 20 yrs., never dropping out of the top 10; usually in the top 3 or 4!:fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth::astonished-face:

Martina N really took great care of her body.. especially when she sync with Nancy L I think. Fiero it should be a no brainer that these athletes would be smarter about their conditioning sense it is there livelyhood

That has nothing to do with injuries Btw how can you try something different
When you are trying to heal
Btw Madison coach is her husband she reached her potential when she finally won her GS title

Madison got the best out of her game winning a GS title I would not be surprised if she falls pregnant

I have no problem with anyone that wants to have a constructive conversation of the current women's tour I won't tolerate posters like Fiero that comes on and bags the women's tour when he doesn't follow it

Navratilova is the GOAT of Women's tennis. I just wished she had held on in the 1994 Wimbledon final, to break the tie with Evert in slams, so there would not be any argument against it. Navratilova's 167 career titles (should have been 168 with the 94 Wimbledon final) is probably the most unbreakable record in tennis. To beat it, someone would need to have a 24-year career and average 7 titles a year.

Keep in mind, Navratilova was able to maintain a very long career before all these advances in nutrition and technology.

You can't compare todays game with Martina okay try to keep with the current conversation?
We were talking about how Madison Keys level has dropped? to me she has had serveral injuries and quite frankly has maxed out her potential winning a GS title
If you have a opinion on Madison feel free to post it if not we dont need a complete history of Martina as we all know her stats
Thanks

My opinion on Madison hasn't changed. With her getting up there in age, I always thought she was either going to quickly follow up her 2025 AO win with another slam, or her form would regress quickly.

Personally I think she maxed out her potential winning her GS which she deserved, injuries have made her form regress and I have to factor in her age as well, players dont get over their injuries as quick, so is the case with Madison

1 set all in the SF between Mboko and Cristian
Going 3, so far it has been a close contest.
Vicky gets a early break in the 3rd set, again trying to win points for both players has been a struggle.Lets see if she can consolidate the break
Vicky leads 3-1, the first time Vicky has been the front runner in this match, both ladies need to address their DFs, which have come at the wrong times in the match
Vicky gets another break her overall game is better in the 3rd set, her fhand can improve, a lot of UFE, Vicky did have a MTO, it seemed it was a pec muscle, then had a bandage on the area,, though it did seem to improve, I hope it wont be a ongoing factor with RG coming up.
Vicky will now serve for the match at 5-2 and a place in the final
Mboko d Cristian 76(3) 36 62 and will play in her first final on clay and her 3rd final so far this year

In the 1st SF
Great news for Emma Navarro who has made the final defeating fellow American Li in straight sets 61 63

Ladies Singles Final,
Saturday 23rd May,

Mboko (1) vs Navarro
This is their first meeting. One of these players will have a first career clay tour title after winning their respective SFs.

Navarro recently returned to the tour, taking time out for health reasons.
Mboko lost early in Madrid, withdrew from Rome, due to wisdom teeth surgery, taking a wild card into Strasbourg. It is Mboko's 3rd final so far this year, her first on clay

Madison needs to increase her session with his sports psychologist. When she is focused and tuned in, she plays some of the most beautiful tennis since Serena. I think she falls in love with her big serve and FH when she should just put a little more patience with spin underneath the ball against lesser opponents. I think her husband will get her to focus on a few more slams before she starts popping out babies IMO

Madison has cut down on her UFE? remember when she was a UFE machine and I was scared to alert you to that fact:)
I hope Madison can at least get back some level she displayed at the AO when she won her GS title.....
Maybe you right she might not want to leave the tour and have babies just yet:)
