And whom (poster) said that this was her primary singular goal and ambition ...hmmm
No idea :) Serena has a full life I guess in ways I can relate I was missing my job when I had my first child even though I loved being a mum still do to this very day, my children are adults and lead a full life, I went back to work after 3 months of having my first child and she turned out fine, I feel as a woman you can do both have a career and being a mum, if you want to be a mum and stay home that is fine too, that is a full time job in itself.

2023 Wimbledon Champion Marketa Vondrousova suspended for 4 years for refusing to take an anti-doping test:

In regards to Marketa Vondrousova there is no wiggle room on the sentence there is no wiggle room usually if a player refused to be tested, unless there are extenuating circumstances. It does seem strange to me that failing a drug test carries far lesser penalties than refusing to take a drug test.
Marketa's defence said they did not provide proper identification in the proper way? and after Petra Kvitova's knife attack players are very wary
Marketa had cited mental health struggles ( anxiety) as defence but tribunal judged it offered ' no compelling justification".
BTW Marketa turns 27 next week, so she will be 31 when allowed to return to the tour, could be 'career ending'
I will be shocked if she dosent appeal

I didn’t know there’s a bigger penalty for refusing a test but maybe refusing is worse because usually they hide cos the player knows they’ll fail it, but then they waste time and money avoiding it, then maybe they get punished twice, for that. Which, when you think of it, is right. Players have to be made an example of when they run away from tests. After this then they usually give an excuse and plead innocence.

She said she was stressed and scared. If she’d had Serena’s panic room, she’d be found in there. Get up off your mattress stuffed with dollars and take the fricking test! We know you’re hiding for a different reason..

BTW,
Tattoo aka Vondrousova did tested negative 3 days after that incident? in saying drugs can be out of your system after 3 days, if she did take them., we will never know now, as she refused to take the test and took her dog for a walk?

Wait just a second.. Who would give up their livelihood for four years if they were completely innocent or drug clean!

In 2023, Mikael Ymer and Jenson Brooksby got around 18 months each for missing tests. Since the system is a joke, she would have been better off testing positive and coming up with any explanation that's theoretically possible, no matter how far-fetched. Worked for Swiatek, Sinner, Yastremska, Halep, Haddad Maia, etc. Swiatek accepted a one-month ban, and Sinner reached a settlement...

The system needs ' more transperancy' for sure, Serena got off refusing to take a test btw?
Lets see if Marketa appeals

Serena got off because she has an army of legal/press advisors and because of who she is. Tattoo needs to hire better staff. Her reason of mental struggles isn't good enough to skip a test and walk your dog instead. She needs a pitbull lawyer to help her defensively.

BTW,
Regarding the Vondrousova ban, I think there are a lot of players dont know they cant refuse a drugs test, even if it is outside their allotted hour each day.even out side your 60 minute tine slot you must provide daily in your where abouts.
You receive a 4 year suspension
Its in the Wada rules. Every athlete knows this or should know this.
Testing negative 3 days later, is a standard BS excuse, as any trace of drugs is usually a negative reading
