This is from AI. How accurate is it? I beileve the Digital forum closed before 2017, as our "joined" dates for Tennis Frontier go back to 2013.

  • The original Tennis.com forums were closed in 2010 or shortly thereafter, following a major "cull" of posters in 2007.
  • The board experienced a significant exodus of users after a 2007 purge where many long-time members were banned or left due to administrative changes.
  • Remaining active users migrated to Tennis Digital (also known as TennisProse) before that platform also closed around 2017.
  • The community then fragmented further, with some members moving to Tennis Frontier and others to Discuss.Tennis.

Yes, the dates aren't accurate.

I think the Tennis.com message boards closed at the end of 2012. Actually, I looked at the old web archive site, and I think the last post may have been 5 January 2013. By our very own kskate2.

Then Tennis Digital - we were moving there before this date because Tino, who built the Tennis.com site said they were closing it down. After a few months, Tino decided he was closing Tennis Digital because some advertising partners didn't come through. Then TF was set up and opened up in April 2013. Behind the scenes squabbles led to Discuss.Tennis being forked off around 2016 and then merged back together with TF in 2018. Tennis Prose was nothing to do with Tennis Digital - that was Scoop's site. That merged into Tennis Frontier when Discuss Tennis got merged back in... and then separated out again later.

So, to come full circle and bring it back to Sinner and Djokovic - when kskate made the last ever post on tennis.com - Jannik Sinner was 12 years old.
Not long after that Jannik left his home and parents to train at Richard Piatti Tennis Academy :)

Hey I liken it to when England open the prisons and institutions to sent all the criminally insane and convicts to Australian. To bring us over from tennis.com to finally TF .. what a journey.. Those Fedal battles (Rafa fans vs Fed Fans) were INSANE. Later the Djoker fans vs Rafa Fans/Fed Fans stuff was legendary.. Remember Clay Death what a poster he was..

Apart from the fact that pretty much everything is wrong, the rest is alright.

Loving the Narrative Sinner Hits A Wall :)
Hmm there is always a first time :)
If my memory is correct
These 2 met last year at Wimbledon last year in the SF and a certain poster he knows who he is stated firmly
Novak will give Sinner a tennis lesson on grass
We all know how that turned out Sinner won in 3 sets :)
I was live at the AO this year when Novak won in their SF, Sinner was dreadful had a 2/18 BP conversion rate and his serve went AWOL', also playing on grass to a medium pace HC is hard to compare
Coming into Wimbledon so far Jannik has hit 96 Aces and has been clutch in tough moments, started off shaky, and had to win in 5 sets, then has gotten better, at times he has been playing 'within himself"
He will no doubt "Step Up' for the SF.
MM. Enjoy the match.. I am sitting this one out.. tons of work deadline to meet today. Lakers in 5. jajajaja .. Sinner in 4 or 5.

Red hits a Djokosmash on BP, but then follows that up w/ a supreme BHDTL. Gets the break and takes the opener 6-4

Nole has Sinner exactly where he wants him ! Sinner leads two sets to nada. Nole is listening to that Pink Floyd album in his head right now, feeling comfortably numb.

Not exactly unexpected, but 1/2 watching, it's turned into something reminiscent of Agassi overpowering Connors in USO SF almost 40 yrs. ago!:)

This is a one way street. Sinner just too good for Novak in every aspect of the game.

Hope final will be more interesting, even though we know how it ended for Zverev in last several matches with Jannik. Maybe with the pressure off his back, Zverev makes it at least a competitive match.

that was a spanking. I can't see Sasha being able to do anything with him. Unless... the shape of his ball on grass is different to what Jannik I used to from him. But goodness sakes, he can't stay that far back against him.
