I guess if they're playing at 2pm as usual, it might be hot enough to cause him problems?

Evidently you never saw John Isner play, especially against Nicolas Mahut.
That was actually great and fun. So were the 2018 semifinals between Isner-Anderson and Nadal-Djokovic. Better than anything that was shown Wednesday or today. They definitely need to bring back the all womens QFs on Tuesday and all men's SFs on Wednesday. There's no reason why play should be ending before 5:30 pm BST/12:30 pm EST.

Please that still gives me Night Mares just thinking about it :)
BTW Ye of little faith in Jannik? :)
Yeah, I lost faith last moment and bought into the concerns about him not facing any good opponents.

I didn't watch any of the match. How did he look? Was Novak pooped?

lol! I must have missed that. I just think while Wimbledon is best for Novak, it's the worst place for him to play Jannik. I actually think he stands more of a chance on a hot day in Roland Garros than in SW19

Jannik could only face what was in front of him and yes some of his opponents lost? that is not Janniks fault
I knew Jannik would stand up, he has been playing within himself, the one shot that has been outstanding has been his serve, he has been Clutch when needed, yes he started off wonky but has improved since in every department
Yep Novak looked every bit of his 39 yo old today

I think we have both said in the past after last year in the SFs Jannik and grass go together, even though he was brought up on clay, he has never really liked it, his first big clay title was this year at MC when he beat Alcaraz
Jannik prefers the faster surfaces

Pretty much! He was never in the match, surrounded by BP's early & often! I surfed to & from it b/c it held no drama! AO "lightning in a bottle" wasn't meant to be! That AO was probably Novak's last great chance to make #25! Sascha blew it when he couldn't serve out his SF w/ Alcaraz! This Wimbledon final might just be competitive as Zverev appears to be a new man since winning FO last month! :astonished-face::yawningface::fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth:
