One thing to consider going forward: Jannik needs one more Masters title to tie Novak for the most in a year (six), and two more to pass him. He's still won every Masters so far this year....crazy. I highly doubt he'll go after all nine, as I suspect he'll skip Canada and/or Paris. But you never know.
It is sort of like a no-hitter in baseball. After five innings, you take note and go "Hmm." After six, it becomes a serious possibility because you're two-thirds of the way there. So let's see about Canada.
Edit: Also, big titles in a season:
10: Djokovic (2015)
9: McEnroe (1984)
8: Federer (2006), Djokovic (2011)
7: Lendl (1986), Federer (2004), Nadal (2013)
6: Laver x2, Sampras x2, Federer x2, Nadal x2, Djokovic x3, Sinner x2, Murray
Meaning, Jannik needs to win one of the six remaining big tournaments to join Novak, Mac, Fed, Lendl and Nadal as the only players to win 7 or more in a year.
