I think Ben's father can stay, but it's very clear that a new voice has to be added to the camp, like with Coco Gauff in late 2023, following her 1st round Wimbledon loss. Like Coco, Ben is never going to consistently dominate, but a new voice can help. We saw it with Coco, when she followed up the 1st round Wimbledon loss with a US Open title.

And see I don't think that will work. As long as the father is still around, he'll be in control or have the dominant voice. He needs to step back completely and let another voice be the sole coach. That way he can just be Ben's dad in a supporting role and not as a coach. The difference is Coco's dad completely stepped out. They let Gilbert coach her. Same thing w/ the sisters. At a point he'd taken them as far as they could go and they eventually got their own coaches.

Thanks Keli.. I am one who opposes a master series tournament before Wimbledon especially since the grass court season is only a few weeks.. Just my opinion but a lot of warnups is taxing on the body both mentality and physically.

Ben isn't going anywhere w/ Daddy Warbucks at the helm. Nuff said.

Ben's game is stuck in neutral. His big serve is predictable and his tennis IQ is not at the level it needs to be to have as much experience as he had. Ben cant volley to back up that big serve which is a major issue.

Ben's just emulating his Dad's game! I recall way back when, he was all serve, w/ lit'l more than a "crash & burn" type of play! It was "hit or miss" & like the Washington family outside of Malavai, he thought deserving of WC's directly into the USO!
