I hear ya brotha. I keep a list.. Sinner and Saba I do not comment or post .. I live in fear.. I even check ChatGPT to monitor/sensor my messages before I post. :face-with-tears-of-joy:
I hear you guys about Sinner. This site seems like mainly Sinner fans, so I have always steered clear of anything negative aside from a comment once about the doping "explanation" which many elsewhere find to be ridiculous hahaha. Thought I had seen it all with the baseball steroids era, but this was "dog ate my homework" level. YMMV. Tattoo sure could use his PR team...

Another first round match that caught my eye is my favorite youngster Fonseca who starts his his match on Monday against the Spanish veteran RBA, I would imagine at age 38, this will be his last Wimbledon, he has served his country well in DC and also made the SF at Wimbledon in 2019.

Still, I don't expect Novak to lose to a player like Rinderkneck at Wimbledon, unless there's something obviously ailing with Novak. Heck, Roger made it to the quarterfinal in 2021 when he was compromised. If Novak loses to Rinderkneck at Wimbledon while relatively healthy, then we all know it's over. (Of course, Novak will be back next year to get to 106 wins and break Roger's record - he won't retire one win short - but his days as a slam contender are over.)

Phil,
You are not a Virgo by any chance are you? you remind me of my daughter who is very matter of fact, and serious, which is a good thing in ways, still you have to look at what Murat said about Novak going to lose to Rinderkneck, he was joking, and I only mention to you that Rinderkneck defeated Zverev last year in round 1, look Novak has a favorable draw, he will be okay, Zverev and grass to me arent a good couple to start with. To my knowledge Rinderneck hasnt won a ATP title
Remember a draw is on paper only!

Just a reminder the Heat Rule will be enforced at Wimbledon, especially with these high temps in London and sweeping Europe at present
I want to know who made this heat rule chart and why it has Tiafoe's bottle on it.

Okay I went to tennis.com the other day to check on something and to my dismay its only a score board now?
Gee a lot of TF posters including myself used to post there many moons ago before they shut down their posting and it became just a tennis website
There wasnt a warning or notification/ reason given before it was effectively shut down?
It was fun to read the curse of Tignor when he gave his final selections in Grand Slams :)

Wait - tennis.com is gone? Damn, you're right! On Facebook people are asking what's happened. Any articles there are just by "tennis.com". They've gone bust?

Oh well a sign of the times I think Kieran,
A friend of mine who operates Tennis Panaroma from NYC said she would never let posting occur on her website, she just posts news and so far it has worked out well for her, I did some work for Karen at the AO many years ago.In saying that tennisnow.com who I have done media work with, Richard Pelligrano from NYC also keeps his site just news worthy
Both websites appear to be doing well for now

A withdrawal,

Mattia Belliuci (ITA) has withdrawn, his place will be taken by LL Pablo Llamas Ruiz (ESP) who will now play against Zackary Svajda (USA)
Bellicui apparently got injured in training sad to say

Fun Fact,
At 41 years and 106 days old, Stan Wawrinka will become the oldest man to compete in singles at Wimbledon, since the Aussie Neale Fraser who was 41 years and 275 days old.

Fact:
Sasha Zverev has an allergy to grass, and has been sneezing on the grass courts, he told reporters it is due to a grass allergy and its not uncommon for him to sneeze,
Have you ever heard of taking a Non Drowsy Antihistamine I also suffer from hayfever ( sneezing) especially at change of seasons eg coming into Spring,

I sometimes like to scour the early years of the Open Era, because there's a lot of formerly great players from pre-Open Era who played tournaments deep into the 70s. We know know about Laver, Rosewall, Gonzales, as well as guys like Emerson, Gimeno, and Santana playing into the 70s, because they were all still pretty good to great. For example:

Frank Sedgman played in the 1976 AO at 48 years old.
Lew Hoad play 1974 Bournemouth at 40 years old.
Pancho Segura played a tournament as late as 1974, at 52 years old.

Gonzales remains the oldest title winner at 44 years old (1972 Kingston), and the oldest big title equivalent winner at 41 years old, winning 1969 Las Vegas, which was particularly impressive considering that he beat John Newcombe, Ken Rosewall, Stan Smith, and Arthur Ashe, all in or very close to their primes.

My goodness I didnt realize Frank Sedgman was 48 years old when he competed at the 1976 AO
I know you cant compare era's different racquets, etc interesting players competing in the early Open Era, played in their late 40's and even early 50's,
I cant see the current crop of players competing in their 4O's and beyond, just my opinion.

he'll need to be careful that NDA doesn't have any contraband in it

I thought the same thing Keli, if it does and he does have an allergy to grass with a doctors certificate he can always put that to ATP/WADA apparently he didnt offer anything more to the reporter, maybe he dosent take anything for his sneezing/ allergy to grass
