I can see how 2008 was the most memorable season for a Rafa fan, but I think 2010 and '13 were slightly better. Also, while the Channel Slam is still very impressive, it is not what it was back in Borg's day when the surfaces were completely different. The Big Three all played during the slow grass era. Still very difficult, of course, but not like pre-2001.
Sorry I disagree, I look at the way a player plays first and foremost, I mean he stopped Rogers winning streak on grass winning the Wimbledon final in 2008, to me that is more outstanding, 2010 was good not as good as 2008

When assessing seasons as a whole, it is like careers: the end results are what matters, not the eyeball (subjective) determination of level of play. All three seasons are very similar, but in every metric I've applied, 2008 is always third. But again, very close.

So I might agree that in 2008 we saw Rafa at his very best, but that doesn't make it his best season. That's determined by the sum total of the year.

Just as many believe Novak's best form was in 2011, but 2015 was an overall better year.

God I hate the grass in the 1st week of Wimbledon, Novak is being very careful not to slip over

We will have to agree to disagree okay
I see 2008 as a Bench Mark for Rafa and he continued good from in 2010

but he didn't turnaround and donate his serve, so maybe he'll have other opportunities. I can see this going 5 and they'll have to come back tomorrow

Oh well that was fun while it lasted Novak to serve for the 4th set and the match
Considering Wu has only won one match on grass he can hold his head high
