calling it a choke is an insult to what we just saw in my view. At worst Sinner dipped slightly and Carlos got loose. That word is overused and misused in this case for sure!
True. Sinner never went away, well at least not until the super TB. That was a tad disappointing, I expected a closer battle there when you consider how the match unfolded.
We'll have to agree to disagree. To me "choke" is just a word, but this pretty much fits the definition...if not this, what? Jannik was up 2-0 in sets, then 2-1 with triple match point. Then he had a chance to serve it out. Alcaraz applied immense pressure, but Jannik still should have been able to hold him off.
Alcaraz sprinted away from him in the super TB. Everyone here keeps saying that Sinner's floor is higher, but so is Alcaraz's ceiling. So he showed that, in the end.
Shrug. I'm not going to squabble over a word. It was a great match, regardless, by two great players.
That's amazing. We can conclude on great sportsmanship from both guys, also with close calls from the umpire.
Jannik has been really clutch in TBs in his career I was disappointed, in saying that Turbo Alcaraz came out of the block firing lead 5-0 and that was the end of the TB for me

I hope next year they get Electronic line calling some of the calls against Jannik were unfair
