I voted for Ash Barty and JMDP. Barty is a lock for induction with the 3 slams and #1 ranking. I have a good feeling about del Potro, as he leads the fan voting (even over Barty).

If Muchova dosent play WTA500 Tokyo,
Swiatek needs W+QF+ or F+F Ningbo/Tokyo
Kostyuk needs 2 titles

Some sad news,

Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils are ending their marriage,
Elina posted the news on her Instragram page, I have condensed the news she posted.
Svitolina speaks about the psychological difficulties of mentally processing the war in her country and the problems stemming from it,

"Last year, needed to step away from the court I wasnt in the right emotional space. With time, I came to understand that I need to find my way back to myself and that I cannot do that within our marriage. I want to open up a little more, what you didnt see were the sleepless night, the doubts and the feeling of slowly losing myself.
Skai, our daughter will always come first. Our marriage is ending, but our family is not. Please know there is noone to blame here. There are only two people who loved each other deeply a story that is changing shape
We ask for your kindness and for the space we need to heal..
Thank your love".

Yeah, I read the whole thing on her IG page. So, lemme see if I can translate this. She's choosing politics over her husband? They can't get counseling and work through this? Le Monf adores her and she is breaking his heart. I pray he can move on from this and find someone who will appreciate him equally.

Wonder if Svito will even play in IW and why she chose now to break this news., instead of waiting for the off season It was apparent something was going on because I hadn't seen Gael at any of her matches since the USO. If she doesn't play, this moves Iga up anyway, correct?

Muchova is next in line to qualify, with 4735 points, tbough she isnt playing Ningbo, I feel she has to take a WC into Tokyo

Swiatek is chasing with 4189 points, playing Ningbo and Tokyo, though she had a thigh problem in her SF match in Wuhan,
Iga needs W+ QF or F+ F Ningbo/Tokyo

Such a sad situation especially when there is a young child involved, when I read the news I was lost for words quite frankly, they appeared to be such an ideal couple together and in love, then again we are not privy to what goes on off the court and when they are at home, I am not taking sides, as I feel for both Elena and Gael., reading the hate towards Elena on social media after the announcement is appalling to me.
Just read, according to L'Equipe, Monfils learned about the divorce abruptly it made him quit tennis on the spot. Hence his abrupt decision to remove himself from the anti doping lists on October 5th
