Abstract:
This article seeks to think the contemporary climate crisis with the ass, aiming to bring together
matters of environment, gender and sexuality. To that end, I’ll present and then patch the
hegemonic climate crisis narrative, the Anthropocene’s narrative, having as horizon a critic to
the notion of Nature and the affirmation of artificiality. At the end, I would like to demonstrate
that the ass is an important environment technology to the production of dissident narratives
about the contemporary climate crisis.

Note: The author's own English translation has the world "ass", but the Portuguese original is "cu", which is more specific, even if still colloquial, meaning "anus". Of course, it has a sexual connotation as well.

I simply cannot believe this is real, I keep waiting for the author to come out and say "gotcha!!", but this does not seem to be the case.
