I was not talking about KP's age but she has been historically a very poor mover on the court.. Again my grandma's footspeed is better than KP's two left feet IMO
KP is a tall player, 6ft 1 inch, usually tall players dont move that well, , I am tall and my speed and footwork has never been a problem, being brought up on clay, footwork was always drummed into me, expect my bhand still sucks :)

Marta was on fire today.. Keys had no answers for the more consistent and athletic player this year..

I am not a fan of Marta, apart from being a Drama Queen, her coach tells her what shots to play etc, where to stand to receive serve, and also I dont need a constant reminded from her and lecture of the war in her country, it has become warring to say the least.
Marta will face Swiatek next, Marta defeated Iga at RG, even though Iga leads their H2H 3-1

Looking at tomorrows playing schedule
Eala gets the night match against McNally, it probably will be a sell out like it was in her 1st match against Parks and to accommodate all Eala fans.

Todays horror story - well it seemed like. A doubles match where everything went wrong because of the weather. And who was in the match you ask - well who do I follow - Clara Tauson. She's still in Montreal playing doubles with her partner A Li. Times mentioned is the times I saw the match. Started at 20.03 with warm up etc and before the play should start - first interruption of rain. Play "continued" after new warmup 20.50 - and players were on court all the time waiting. After a new warmup first set went ok with Clara and Li winning 6-2. Just started set 2 and rain again - this time longer so they left the court and returned 22.57 with me saying finally - which I shouldn't have said as drops of rain again with clearing the stripes etc. After starting again Clara and Li went to leading 5-2 in second set - rain. After that break where they stayed on court - the rhythm suddenly was gone for a period till 5-5 where they finally got the final 2 parties of the match winning the match 6-2 7-5 - at 23.45.

19 yo Russian player Korneeva looks very solid as she takes out Jovic 63 64, first time I have seen her play a whole match, good potential

Goodness me after praising Andreeva the other day in her first round match, she has begun poorly against Fernandez making too many UFE for starters, needs to wake up or else she will be out in straight sets, Fernandez 61 1st set, Fernandez has been rock solid, with controlled aggression
Andreeva continues to be a Hot Mess in the 2nd set, Fernandez leads 4-0
Fernandez serving for the match at 5-2 broken, though lets see if Andreeva can hold serve for starters, she has been dreadful whole match
Fernandez will have a 2nd time to serve out the match at 5-4
Fernandez d Andreeva 61 64, a rock solid performance from Leylah today, well done! back to the drawing board for Mirra, she lifted her game towards the end of the 2nd set, way too late.

Getting back to the Alycia Parks- Eala match.. If you can look past those foolish UFEs , the power of some of those winners by both players were phenomenal.. it was definitely big babe tennis.. not at its finest but great shot making.. I think Eala will compete for a GS really soon

You really think Eala can compete for a GS soon? Hmm I am not that convinced, a good returner can return her weak serve with ease, as I mentioned to you earlier she needs to get more 'juice on that 1st serve' and her 2nd serve is poor, its a wonder that at the Rafa Nadal academy noone has worked on her serve?
BTW what is with your Big Babe Tennis btw?:)

Absolutely look at some of the non big babe GS winners of the past 5 years..Eala is a very talented player who plays smart tennis..Leylah aka Miss Lil Bit almost pulled it off and the girl she lost to did not have a big serve.
