The thing is, I was rooting for Bronson in all of those movies...Will I root for this guy also or is he just a douche that does not like Muslims?

I will let you know ;)

OK , I am a sucker for revenge movies and people taking matters into their own hands. Law Abiding Citizen is one of my favorite movies so you understand.

I just watched this one. First, it is a bad movie. Too on the nose, too preachy, though I don't know how you can make a more subtle movie with the subject at hand. I can easily see a sequel or two as this is one of the top purchases on Prime.
Hammer fit the role well.

hmmm.. ok noted. I might give it a look, but I don't like preachy. I prefer subtlety and being forced to think

Zero subtlety , nothing to think except the obvious. And preachy. But I guess someone had to do it.

I am interested in seeing Christoper Nolan's latest film "The Odyssey" it is a long film going 3 hours
From what I have read so far from a movie critic, he didnt feel the movie was 3 hours long as it was a movie that kept your interest and it he loved it and it does have a stellar cast
I will take snacks and I loved Oppenheimer which I have rewatched 3 times :)

Oppenheimer sucked.. I want the 40 mins I tried to watch the movie back. All I remember is a skinny funny looking dude trying to conquer his sexual libido.. I would rather watch some ole episodes of Hee Haw than to see through that agaim. Same with Tenet and Inception.. The Dark knight series he got it correct. Otherwise he is a very boring storyteller IMO.

My bladder will not handle Odyssey at the theater. Plus I have to get past my disgust at Nolan for selling his integrity for the award season with some casting choices.

is it because he cast Lupita Nyong’o in the role of Helen of Troy?

...among others. Come to think of it, I don't even blame him. It is the Oscars. They put these woke rules in place to qualify for an award, directors have no choice.
I am thinking about all the movies that won awards in the past that would not even qualify today.
Don't mess with art. It is personal and subjective.

Oh well I am still going to see Odyssey and I will make my own mind up, and I have a strong bladder Murat and I think I can hold on for 3 hours, though when I listened to the movie critic he said the time flew and it didnt seem like a 3 hour movie, we will see.

Crap, I don't even remember that one. But as a principle, I never have casting issues with any movie, as long as it is not for filling a quota for the award season or sending a political message. I don't like being preached at a movie theater. I prefer being entertained.

Agree going to a movie theater is for entertainment I also dont like being preached on any point period, its a time to 'switch off' and being entertained, we get too many preachers in our world today :)

Why would the team of this movie whom have all won academy awards cast for the reason you stated that is in bold.

See that means that you are cherry picking your movies casting.. 20 years ago noOne who had stated anything about what is highlighted above.. Did Nolan, Matt Damon or even Ludwig state that there's political reasons for the casting?

How is a fantasy movie being used as a vessel for political means.. ? That's like saying Wonder Woman is for the new women's movement or Black Panther is for Black Lives Matter.

I wasnt meaning a fantasy movie, I mean I go to the movies to be entertained, nothing to do with being political etc
Going to the movies for me is being able to 'switch off' from everyday life, like you wanting to be the next James Bond :)

it's a requirement of the OSCARS criteria these days. If you don't have diversity in your casting you're pretty much toast. It's really sad. It's a complete perversion to my mind. Cast who should be cast. If you're concerned about diversity in a movie that tells a story about a specific race then look behind the scenes, the producers, script writers camera people etc. Don't force this woke bullshit on to us the audience. We just want to be entertained. I don't want some fool who's unlikely to be as educated as me to try to tell me about the way the world should be
