Not like this.. She was able to recover and make the match competitive.. This one Saba went no pun intended WALKABOUT!!
Probably not as bad, still she has been a player in the past when her emotions get in the way she has lost
Saba should have played percentage tennis for starters in the wind, she was rushing her shots, cant play Big Babe tennis in the wind,
Saba was up 4-1 in the 2nd set and lost it.................she deserved to lose

I both like and dislike the fact that a wide range of players win WTA Slams...I mean, it makes things a bit more unpredictable, but it also has a hint of little league baseball to it (what should be a groundout becomes an inside-the-park home run).

Sabalenka is really taking this loss hard

" No thoughts, no emotions. Just want to quite tennis right now" with tears in her eyes

Sabalenka in a few days will get over the bad loss, she has to quickly re-set for the grass season, with her game ( not when she goes AWOL) she can win
I hope Sabalenka has learnt her lesson, she has to keep her emotions 'in check" I know this is a hard lesson, though in hindsight it might be the very thing that will help Sabalenka in the future

She already has a pattern of not been able to get out of the hole. This is what separates great players from the less great.

She suffered a total meltdown today. Like her mind was on something else instead of thinking what to do next point and how to adjust and get back in the match.

I haven't seen all that much of her to be honest, but I love that forehand. She showed discipline... but I also think this had a lot to do with some atrocious on-court management by Saba.
Me neither, but that forehand was spot on today.

Diana has won smaller tournaments on all surfaces
Since hiring Sasha Beljin she has become a stronger player also she absorbs pace well like shr did today against Saba also moves well she showed composure not like Saba and adjusted to the windy conditions

Saba needs to be fined for something, either for her antics (emotional outbursts) or lack of effort. The WTA needs to send a message that behavior like this will not be tolerated, not even from a top ranked player.

Fined? For what? I don't think there was a lack of effort. Just a mental implosion.
