Mrzz I am getting a bit worried you havent appeared yet on TF after Fonseca''s win?
I could not watch the match on the live feed. I started watching about an hour late ( but from the beginning), so I had to avoid all internet to be safe from spoilers.

I spent the whole match afraid of a let down which fortunately never came!!! Uffff

The draw was wide open and he just beat the two remaining top dogs.

You mentioned his tennis IQ... After the match he gave an interview in Portuguese to fellow Brazilian Bruno Soares (won a few GS in doubles), he described the "chess match" they were playing not to let each other with the forehand inside out.

Too many youngsters and players he likes left in the draw with a shot at the title. He is on a spiritual retreat focused on finding out who is rooting for. The retreat is scheduled to end on September the 7th, 2031.

I wonder how much Mensik has left in the tank after these marathon matches.
If there is one advantage that Zverev has over the youngsters, it's that he has taken care of business and has spent less time on the court. Mensik, Fonseca, and Jodar have each played several marathon, 5-set matches.

One big problem Zverev has Big Mental Issues when pressured
These youngsters are swinging from the hips and have Belief In Themselves and Their Games
Zverev goes into Defensive Mode when he is pressured, seen it over and over again, instead of staying aggressive he retreats one of the reasons he hasnt won a GS title apart from blaming everyone else and including the kitchen sink he hasnt won a GS title
Our game is 80% mental! Zverev falls by the way side in that area!

True, but I wonder if Zed will start feeling the added pressure of a window without Sinner and Alcaraz. It will be interesting to see how he handles it as we head into the business end of proceedings.

I think these young guys getting through is the worst case scenario for Zverev. He might be thinking "here we go again". After the Big 3, Sinner and Alcaraz come along. Without Sinner and Alcaraz, here comes along another batch of great players. Zverev can beat the PCBs, Rublevs, and Ruuds of the world. Jodar and Fonseca are completely different beasts. They have the tools to complete frustrate Zverev. If that happens, the big question is how will Zverev handle that mentally? That will determine whether he can walk away with the French Open title, or if one of the youngsters snatches it away.

BTW
There are other players left in the draw that have also the tools to defeat Zverev, just not Jodar or Fonseca?
This is still a way to go, I suggest you look at the other players?
Fonseca has more playing style, and clutch mentality than Jodar, who is also found wanting when streched wide on the court, his 2nd serve needs attention and he has a High Risk Game, which produces UFE at the wrong times, if you have been paying attention when he plays
Zverev has had a favorable draw so far, that can also prove a problem when he hasnt been pushed? we all know he is mentally weak, at least I do .
Zverev isnt a Lock In to win at RG, as we have seen so far, it is still anyone's tournament.

Good 1st set from Cobolli a true clay courter understands the perimeters of the court, and Cobolli's awareness where is opponent is, another good point, Cobolli a good balanced athlete with firepower on his shots, 62 1st set over the American Svajda
