AI is virtually useless for tennis stats. The main problem is that it cannot search drop down menus - I'm not a coder, but I think it has something to do with HTML. It can search Wikipedia, but not Tennis Abstract or UTS. But even then, it has given me answers that I know are incorrect - even when the stats are readily available.

It is one of my great (tennis-related) tragedies: the relative lack of reliable statistics, especially pre Open Era. That said, I found a book that has results for every pro era tournament and tour. This has allowed me to dabble with applying my various metrics to pre-Open Era stats so I can, for instance, at least make a reasonable attempt at comparing Rod Laver's full career to the Big Three.
