I have to double check Al when looking up stats I have them to be wrong on many occasions, eg I dont trust their H2H as I have found them out to be incorrect

Sinner d Rublev 62 64
Jannik gets his 32 consecutive win in Masters, breaking Djokovic's record for the most consecutive wins in the history of this format
He's no won 64 of the last 66 sets of tennis he's played in Masters events
27th consecutive win
18th Masters SF
50th Career SF
Won 49 of last 51 matches

Jannik Forza!

The wind was a factor in this match, I dont think Sinner or Rublev played to their best, though in the conditions did their best

AI is virtually useless for tennis stats. The main problem is that it cannot search drop down menus - I'm not a coder, but I think it has something to do with HTML. It can search Wikipedia, but not Tennis Abstract or UTS. But even then, it has given me answers that I know are incorrect - even when the stats are readily available.

It is one of my great (tennis-related) tragedies: the relative lack of reliable statistics, especially pre Open Era. That said, I found a book that has results for every pro era tournament and tour. This has allowed me to dabble with applying my various metrics to pre-Open Era stats so I can, for instance, at least make a reasonable attempt at comparing Rod Laver's full career to the Big Three.

Play has now recommenced in the 2nd set between Medvedev and Landulace
Medvedev 4 -3
Meddy served for the match at 5-3 broken
Meddy broke the serve of Landulace won the 2nd set 64
Going 3
Medvedev just hit 3 DFs in his first service game of the 3rd set, broken
Landulace leads 2-0
Back on serve, as Medvedev gets the break back
3 all
Landuluce holds serve after saving 3 BPs
4 all
DF No 7 for Landulace and Medvedev has MP
This has been a Hell of a QF between these 2 players
Landulace saves MP
MP No 3 for Medvedev
Landulace is Not Going Away and saves MP No 3
Landulace holds tough and saves the 3 MPs
5 all
Landulace will now serve 5-6 to force a TB for the 3rd set and for the match, seems fitting
Medvedev broke Landulace to love and won the match 16 64 75

Well done to Landulace who came into Rome as a LL and made the most of his draw, making the QFs of a Masters1000 and pushed Medvedev all the way in this match!
