What on Earth is going on in the world today? It's gone mad

I've always had difficulty expressing my discomfort with hard right wingers who talk about globalists, we all know that's code for "Jew". But my discomfort was deeper than that. There was the stench of hypocrisy but I could never really pin it down. In this video, Anne Applebaum nails it. All of these guys, whether they're in MAGA, AfD, Front National... they all say the exact same thing. They're actually more cohesive than the leftist nutters we're all so exhausted by. She gives them a descriptive that I think is perfect.. global nationalists. That's exactly what they are. If there's a "progressive cabal" doing harm to the world and certainly they do with this trans, identity politics, cultural marxism, deconstruct capitalism bent that those on the left have, then these global nationalists are just as bad on the other side

Just thought it was interesting that someone else has noticed how uniform the thinking is on the hard right. I keep saying, the left AND the right are completely bonkers. It would be nice for a politician to step up (actually several politicians in many different countries) who believes in:

• fiscal conservatism (none of this, the rich need to be taxed, instead of figuring out incentives to encourage full employment ==> no DEI, and no old boy networks that gives privilege to the already privileged rich either!),
• the traditional family unit as the primary place to nurture children,
• facts over feelings,
• controlled immigration,
• the need for immigrants to embrace the culture they're joining (no one has an objection to bringing some of your culture as it helps the indigenous folk to grow and expand, but don't try to set up the very place you were running from, that shit is crazy),
• there are only TWO genders
• gender equality means equal accountability

To me those are just basic requirements. It's not difficult! If a politician doesn't have the balls to say all that with their chest then they're useless!
