#32 should be Venus' rank. Venus isn't on that list at all, so it's just a mistake.

Yes It does reflect on ESPN that they would have such

a person in that position. Is there no oversight. The

This is an error. There is NO WAY someone at ESPN did this on purpose. He/she would be out of a job immediately if that were the case, and wouldn't get a recommendation for a new job. Don't read anything else into it, because there's nothing there.

This has to be some kind of software mishap, cyberspace glitch! It doesn't even have a #1 listed!!

There is always a glitch when it comes to Serena ranking. Remember when Tennis.com didn't change the womens ranking last year for about a month after Serena retook the top spot?

I'm leaving town for a few days, but here is the email I sent them and their electronic response. I still haven't received a resolution email, but there is a phone # listed and anyone so inclined could call in the issue as well.

My email sent on the 8th:
On your WTA rankings tennis site, there is a pretty big error. There is no #1 ranked player listed and when you look at #32 it shows as Serena Williams. That's a pretty careless error you should fix immediately for an American based company to not have their top American player listed correctly in the rankings. I agree, most times these things get direct upload from the source, in this case WTA.

I wonder where they get it from.
