If Trump's support of Putin, and the slowdown of Starlink to thwart Ukrainian defence wasn't enough, now Trump and Vance have been defending the Vivek advert attacking Amy Acton. If this doesn't fuel the blue wave then I think America is lost. Their soul is gone.

By the way, the Dems should be rolling out national adverts attacking Trump and Vance, and the GOP. The ads should explicitly state that yet again just like Trump protecting the Epstein files, protecting the Epstein class (billionaires), they are now defending an attack ad using the mother who's child was removed from her custody because that mother's husband, her step father was accused of sexually and physically abusing her and her brother. That stepfather fled, and the mother ran with him. This is a stepfather who in a previous marriage was also accused of abuse. That's who Trump is defending. That's who Vance defended. How is this not a free hit to tie Trump and the GOP to Epstein. They would be foolish not to do this.

oh wow! The Dems playing dark arts like a Trumpian Republican in Alaska. I didn't realise they found a guy with the same name as the sitting GOP Senator, hoping to confuse voters into splitting away some of the GOP vote to the guy of the same name. That's just dirty! Should be prevented from happening in the future, but it's not illegal in Alaska. Just never thought a Democrat would come up with something like that! I'm impressed :D

Some crazy shit going on in Michigan. I think Haley Steven's betrayal will work in favour of El Sayed. It's not the move she thinks it is. She had better move over to the GOP, I cannot imagine anyone in the Democratic Party will forgive her! It's a soap opera!:popcorn

El Sayed is the most fucked up candidate US has ever seen. He covers her wife but when asked why is it OK for a young girl to see a penis in a locker room, he says she will see it online anyways...
Democrats are just fucked is all...The people that vote for Trump because they really love him and believe in his vision is maximum 10% in the US. All the rest is just voting against the democrats because they are pure evil and they are not even trying to hide it.

I definitely agree that it's a battle between voting against Trump policies and disdain for Democrats. It's amazing that they haven't fully learned from this. But it does seem that a lot of their candidates in this cycle are starting to back away from the nonsense. Some of them are still trying to find a middle ground, instead of being more fulsome in repudiating the trans nonsense and other crazy stuff. It's a good start. Perhaps if there really is a blue wave the rest of them can get it into their thick heads that no one is on their side with the culture stuff. But perhaps I'm too optimistic

The "Blue Wave" has exploded into a tsunami where Dems. took over Congress w/ numbers of historic proportions! Trump threatened to contest close votes! The people have insured things w/ a padded cushion of millions of votes! He was quite humble calling into Fox News late last nite! Color me shocked AF! :astonished-face::fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth::partying-face::thinking-face:

it's a generational beatdown! The size of the victory in Texas tells me this isn't just a rejection of Trump, some of those who left will never go back. For the Republican's sake I hope they haven't Pete Wilsoned themselves in Texas

biggest casualties of all this... JD Vance and Elon Musk. Some folks will say Trump, but the reality is, he has veto power. He was always going to be a lame duck. He's less affected than the other two. Frankly I'm worried about what both Trump and Musk will try to do in the next couple of years

I am just amazed at the lengths that the Americans will go to when they really hate someone. They elected Trump, with all his flaws because they hated the establishment so much. Now they elect commies and jihadists because they hate him so much.
I am sure the Dems will read the room wrong again.

nah.. they voted Trump in because of inflation, they've voted out Republicans because of inflation. There are other things as well of course. Voters didn't like Kamala Harris being foisted on them without a primary. And now voters didn't like the Iran war, they don't like ICE, and they definitely don't like tariffs. I would actually argue that American voters have been remarkably rational and consistent. it's us who observe who fail to understand their wants and needs

I think the last time American people voted FOR someone, it was Obama's first term because people mistakenly and with good intentions, bought his bullshit. Since then all voting has been against someone. No war, inflation or ICE has been able to turn Texas or South Carolina blue in decades. I grant you, some people vote for issues, or a single issue that just concerns them. This was a pure fuck you to Trump . They have seen much worse wars, much worse inflation and even Obama's ice deported more illegals than Trump's.

I don't think you're disagreeing with me :) They said fuck you to Biden/Harris because of inflation, and put in Trump. They voted the Dems OUT.

In these midterms they've voted Republicans OUT, more than voted Dems in. Again.. because of inflation. I most definitely agree that the motives have been negative for a while. I just disagreed with the reason. You said it was because the Dems were the establishment. Nah.. it was the cost of living

I found it ironic that Trump started this whole hardline state gerrymandering (redoing District boundaries to get more of their party’s registered voters to outnumber the other party) and it backfired on the Republicans spectacularly.

Texas, the gerrymandering accomplished nothing because the Blue wave just had the newly organized districts vote Democrat so it resulted in the opposing party’s ultimate benefit in this election.

Texas I find quite interesting and doing some easy morning after quarterbacking , it seems certain assumptions were made:

IE…1) that a growing number of Hispanic voters were both monolithic and firmly entrenched as red voters, and that such policies as the ICE draconian measures would not faze or upset them. (Btw this is different than being opposed on huge waves of illegal immigration, which concerns most Texans). I do think Texan Hispanics thought the ICE policies were pointedly against them…

2) that again young male voters would stay in their camp regardless, despite the US being immersed in a war which impacts young men more than anyone

3). And of course, that they were impervious to middle class & working class white voters ( their truly seemingly red wall) defections despite high inflation, gas prices & affordability issues & rampant corruption ( estimates are Trump & cohorts have pocketed Billions of dollars)

IOW they didn’t grasp that culture wars were trumped by high gas prices.

Meanwhile, in response to this, California gerrymandered their own districts which did result in more seats for the Democrats.

As mentioned before, American politics is cyclically consistent and I’ve heard/read the “gloom & doom” applied to the future of each party more times than I care to remember.

So here we go again.
