I've heard him talk. It's clear that he has charisma. I think the American left is desperate for an answer to Trumpist populism

The left is reading the room wrong again. They just don't understand one major fact: They believe all conservatives like Trump. Overwhelming majority do not. I would say the percentage of people that actually like Trump and what he stands for is not more than 15% of the Conservative population. The rest is just normal folks who are scared OUT OF THEIR MINDS of what the leftists have to offer. They have no choice. Because the choices are: Sex is a social construct, or Trump. A guy with a 10 inch cock in my daughters locker room, or Trump. There is no objective reality, or Trump. America is on stolen land, we are bad, everyone else is good, or Trump. Reparations, or Trump. Mamdani (communism) , or Trump. AOC, or Trump. Open borders to criminals, or Trump.

Those are the choices, a normal person has to pick Trump. Not for love.

I would not trust Trump to walk my dog, let alone have him as a president. BUT, considering the alternative ideology we are up against, hail to the chief.

There was a Poll recently showing that Republicans are proud of the United States & approve of the direction we're taking over 90%! OTOH, Democrats are seen to be disloyal & unpatriotic b/c only about 50% feel that way! Being an objective person along w/ rantional Dems & Independ., we can look at ourselves & point out our failings! The country was founded on War Crimes as we systematically committed genocide on the Native Americans of this land! I don't even have to mention the past w/ that bit of history to show we haven't been the world's conscience in any sense of the word if you look closely! Tuskeegee, Japanese war camps, civil rights fighting, & Teapot Dome almost dwarfs our missdeeds of today! It's just gotten progressively worse as time goes on & we can't seem to see it! Trump has undermined society so much, I really have no idea how we can be totally redeemed! Being an old fart has a lot to do w/ my negative feelings on the matter! Not sure it'll happen in my lifetime!

I agree. I've been making this point for a while. In fact I seem to recall saying after Trump won the second time... how bad must voters think Democrats are that they think Trump is the best option?

it's not that Democrats are disloyal or unpatriotic. It's that they are weak in the worst possible way, but somehow manage to be self righteous at the same time.

I still can't get over how Biden was killing Ukrainians with his weakness. Trump is weak too, but it's different. It's the moral weakness of the bully. The type of weakness that makes enemies cautious to confront. Somehow Trump managed to be the best thing to happen to Ukraine because all of a sudden his withdrawal of support has left him with zero leverage to apply against Ukraine. They are hitting Russia like they're a red headed step child in a way that was impossible under Biden. My biggest reason for wanting Harris to win was that I thought it would benefit Ukraine. That was a colossal error on my part. I celebrate Trumps victory. How messed up is that?? Everyone here knows how much I loathe the guy, but I'm glad he's President. That's what Dems need to understand. They're so busy trying to be good people they end up doing truly monstrously evil things.

Tell me where you would rather live then? I mean, you hate your foundation, you hate what your country stand for, so where would you rather live, and why aren't you there yet? I will tell you why...because you are comparing USA to Unicornia....an ideal that does not exist in the practical world. You know every single country has blood in their hands when it comes to how they happened to end up on the piece of land that they are on. You think Romans used methods of persuasion when they ruled half the world? Do you think the Turks (my peeps ) just talked the Byzantine Empire into giving up Istanbul and they did out of generosity?

History is a bloody business man. Feel free to acknowledge it but don't judge it by today's standards. Countries conquered lands, everyone had slaves, witches got burned, gays got stoned.

Preach! It's good to acknowledge the past, but there's nothing that can be done about it. Not in a real practical sense. All you can do is be better. But my sense is that the left uses these historic wrongs to attack those who are in power now. Whether one is talking about slavery reparations, get back for women or whatever other identity politics related wrong. It's exhausting. Be better now!

I've had opportunities to move abroad a couple times; Europe & Australia! I turned it down both times! As much as I'm outraged by our history & the reverting ignorance of Rep. & conservatives to allow things to get this bad, I have no regrets! I've had a very satisfying life; even w/ the country's retched history! Other countries have done worse & for centuries longer! At least we can blame being a new nation to this day; "an experiment in Democracy!" It looks better on paper!

I have duel citizenship w/ Canada! My dad was in the USAF & one of his stops was on the island of Newfoundland! Born St. Johns back in '57!

I tried to check out the condition of things back there to maybe return B4 I go! I was the 1st minority child born at Pepperell Hospital on that US base before becoming a civilian clinic! Wiki said they shut down in 2010 so I dropped it! My passport is American, but shows I was born Canada! Had to always explain this to people, schools, & businesses!
