Linda gets extremely tight. Remember the Wimby final. She should've won it in straights but her head wouldn't let her. Had to go to 3 and finally closed it out there. She could afford that kind of lapse against Muchova. World #1, not so much.

Same against Kostyuk last round. She should have won in 2 sets.

Quinwen started out well. Blitzed Elena for a set and some change before Elena figured it out. She takes the match 6-4 in the decider and claims the #1 spot w/ her win. Big props on unseating Saba from her perch.

Yap she figured it out after the 1st set. Not the best tennis, but she managed to push through. Zeng fought well and had an amazing tournament considering where she was before it started.

I hope Rybakina wins the title.

I'd like Elena to win it too, but Coco will be a tough out. She is a wall. She will put that girl on her horse and force her to hit one more shot.

she's got the wrong game plan. you cannot outlast Coco. Don't trade moonballs with her. Go for your shots and get the ball you can put away. She spent so much time feeding balls to Coco's FH that she got sucked into long rallies. That's a losing proposition against this chick.

I think the H2H got in her psyche a bit and she hasn't been the same since missing those MP's
Is that the reason for a frosty handshake? Mira ran off the court and she didn't even wave to the crowd. She must be angry.

Exactly what Coco wants is to draw her opponents into garbage tennis

That's exactly the reason. She is such a pouty crybaby. When things aren't going her way, she loses all sense of reality, accepts that's her plight in life and then throws a tantrum. Did you see her throw that racquet? She was almost defaulted as it bounced right in front of the cameraman. Conchita was trying to get her attention, she never not once looked toward her box. She has to be the saltiest teen I've ever seen. Been this way. Nothing new here.

I didn't catch that racket throw moment, was doing some chores. Heard of her been a crybaby, but barely watched any of her matches before. She doesn't look like a good sport. At one point Gauff hit Mira with a ball (not intended) and apologized immediately, but Mira never looked back at her and accept it as a part of the game. I think that's just rude.

Andreev has been very outspoken that she knows she has issues and problems .Remember when she won RG she thank her sports psychologist over and over.. There may be two or three nice girls on the tour but the majority of them are not anyone that you want any male in your family involves with if it based on their on the court demeanor.

Coco put herself in harm's way, just a point from going home! She was fortunate Mirra's nerves got the best of her! She just forgot how to play! :face-with-hand-over-mouth:

she also had a jacket made where it was printed ""I want to thank me", like GF is full of herself.
