I'm not the bitter one. You call them all sorts of terrible names regularly in posts. I'm just pointing out that it seems out-sized to their impact on your life as a tennis fan or fan of Novak. And yet they rankle you beyond distraction. I think you've given us some insight, though. Very helpful.

Roger DID choke away two championship points. So Novak was lucky to live to play another game, but he manufactured his own "luck" to win the match and the title. Coric today was a bit "lucky" to escape 6 MPs, (and he didn't save all or even most of them...they were mostly blown by Tsitsipas.) But that doesn't mean that he was just lucky to win. He took his chances when they presented themselves, and he capitalized on them. I think we can hold both notions in our puny little brains about when you get lucky in a match, and when you embrace opportunity in your own right.

That's an interesting question, because of how they are doing the points, now He's only 3 weeks away, but are the weeks being counted from now? Have they gone to the rolling 2 year system? Points aren't dropping off, for example. Does that mean that weeks at #1 count from the beginning of Cincy, or not?
