Will we have one single thread to all tournaments?

(I know I can create one, but should I?)

you should let me do my job. ;-): Fan week is much easier to manage in one thread. When the tourney starts, I will split off the men/women' threads. So continue to use this one until I separate them later this week.

By the way, I watched a good bit of mixed doubles semi final between Monfils/Svitolina x Cobolli/Bencic. Level was embarrassingly low. From the baseline, the two male players were abysmal. In the net, the four of them had the movement and court placement of an elephant. It felt like recreational tennis.

you got your wish, but he has to go through a kstate/MM fav in a Wimbledon 1R rematch first :face-with-tears-of-joy:
they played an epic at Wimbledon..I have a feelin either player will have anything left in the tank if they survive their encounter.. Novak will be waiting like a fox near the chicken coop

Nole is not going to see Meddy if Nakatomi can manage to take it to 5 sets.
Let's be honest. It really depends on his meds. I am quite sure Danill's wife has told him to calm down because the bills are not getting paid this year like previously. USO fits his game probably better than anyone but its his meds.. if his happy meds wear off he will not defeat Nakatomi.

There are inexplicable "bad match-ups" rife thru-out the history of the game! The earliest I can think of was Borg over several contemp. who never rose to the occasion against him; The Bagel Twins (Harold Solomon & Eddie Dibbs) & Vitas Gerulaitus! Laver had 1 both ways; him owning Arthur Ashe, then his bad losses to Rosewall in those 2 WCT Chp. in Dallas! Something a little more contemporary had Federer owning Andy Roddick who dropped all those Wimbledon finals! Of course the most legendary "bad match-up" was w/ Fedal! Rafa owned Roger "lock, stock, & barrel!" No surface gave Federer a respite; even on his beloved grass in '08! Fritz almost owning Sasha is truly inexplicable! :fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth::face-vomiting::astonished-face:

thanks fiero, it doesnt make sense and I doubt if it continues sense Sascha is a grand slam champion (if Novak was not playing I would have to say his RG champion deserves an asterisk.

Funny, I mentally have an asterisk next to Federer's French Open win! If not for Robin Soderling, he'd never have taken it in '09! I muse online on other sites about Roger owing Robin a house back in Sweden for his assist by taking out Nadal in the Rd. of 16! Soderling backed it up w/ a RR win over Rafa in the YEC that same season! :face-with-hand-over-mouth::fearful-face::astonished-face::yawningface:

I still cant believe how Tommy Haas and especially Gael laid down when they both had their chances to defeat Roger at RG if I remember correctly.

If you really look at it seriously, Roger has only 1 significant win at the FO; 2 by winning it in '09! Novak was on a historic run of matches in 2011; 40+ wins in a row from 2010 YEC! On a blustery, windy day, Roger upset him in SF en route to another loss to Rafa in the final! :astonished-face::yawningface::fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth:

Fils vs Sascha is my pick for the finals...although Fritz will have the American support. I dont believe in FAA (I wished Tossip was here to give us the latest on the young Canadian). Carlos is actually my dark horse which is definitely an oxymoron
