the vocal featured here is John’s Take 4 performance, recorded on November 28, 1966, at EMI’s Studio Two. The backing track is drawn from Giles Martin’s 2015 remix, serving as the instrumental foundation for this reconstruction. Aside from the core adjustments described above, only minimal enhancements have been applied—namely, a subtle echo on the final sung syllable and a slight reinforcement of the word “about,” which felt comparatively thin in this new context.The primary technical challenge of this remix lay in the precise and meticulous alignment of John’s Take 4 vocal with the later instrumental track. Achieving a natural, flowing sync required careful, time-intensive editing to preserve both timing and musicality without compromising the integrity of the performance.It’s important to note that this remix is not intended as a replacement or correction. Rather, it offers an alternate listening experience—one that highlights the beauty of John’s unaltered voice. The original recording, with its edits and modulation, remains essential to the song’s dreamlike, surreal atmosphere.
