Shanghai Rolex Masters
Shanghai, China
October 11 - 18 2015

Good fortune continues to shine on the Shanghai ATP Masters 1000. In its first four years in 2009-2012, Shanghai was awarded ATP World Tour Masters 1000 Tournament of the Year, as voted by the ATP players. Rolex recently renewed its title sponsorship of the only ATP World Tour Masters event in the Chinese region.

Here is the draw:  http://www.atpworldtour.com/en/scores/current/shanghai/5014/draws

Of the top guys, Federer is scheduled to take on Albert Ramos-Vinolas, other interesting matches for me are F3 vs J. Sousa, Cilic vs Coric  and here are the rest of match ups for tomorrow:

I think we were all catching breath after the two finals on Sunday...

I'm looking forward to this tournament. Usually one or two of the top guns are cooked aroung this time of season - yet they are all here - fit and healthy.

Nick Kyrgios copped another code violation for obscenities yesterday... Not sure what it's going to take to make this guy learn. He then went onto describe the tournament as an absolute circus.

Meanwhile, in other news, Fed has begun his match.  He's 4-1 second favourite to win the tournament... Not bad odds.

Fed's out of Shanghai!  L 6-7 6-2 3-6.  Albert Ramos-Vinolas claims his first ever top 10 match.

This is a big shock to me, Federer out of the tournament in his first match.  Now I always fret about first matches in any of the tournaments  for my favourites.   But frankly I had Fed penciled in with this win, more than Nole's match tomorrow against Klizan.  I slept through it all, I'll have to watch a bit of it later when I come home from work.  BB did you watch it?  I guess it was a normal time for you.

I also saw that between my 2 pretty guys, F3 won.

I also hoped Coric would do better against Cilic, especially after Cilic was having problems in the previous round against a no name WC.

I only saw the last few games.  It's an embarrassing loss. The guy had never beaten a Top 10 player.  In fairness, the part I saw, he played quite well and Federer wasn't terrible.  The commentators talked about the first two sets and also said Federer didn't play particularly badly, just never moved up the gears.

I've kind of grown to like F3 a little... I used to think he was a jerk.  Probably because he's given Rafa a rough ride recently.  B-)

^ You can't paint this as anything other than a shocking loss. Sorry.

Who would ever say. Federer was second best at USO and won this tournament last year, so obviously conditions suit him.

There was no topic for this tournament, I just remembered it last night.  BB is so busy with programming and changing all these things on the board so I am thinking we should try to help him with regular stuff. :good:
