exactly! If anyone is living under a rock and isn't aware they should take note. This is the "equity" these people think is fair. Someone else does all the work, builds the brand and then you just come along and get an equal share. Just because...

It’s a soap opera, isn’t it? Petty jealousies, squabbles, unfounded allegations of racism, I never hear anything at all at the game itself!

I don't know about all that. I actually quite enjoy watching the WNBA these days. I'm a huge fan of Caitlin Clark. I have been before all the politics. I feel so bad for her because it's so obvious she doesn't want to be an avatar for one side or the other. Isn't it ironic that the same Fox News hosts who were telling LeBron just to shut up and dribble are now going at her because that's explicitly what she wants to do?

Furthermore I can't help shaking my head. It seems clear that if you're not black or a lesbian you're almost considered the enemy. Here is this young woman who is fantastically skilled, who gets defensive attention like no other player, she's been practically assaulted on the floor and somehow many of those fouls are unseen, but if she so much as touches an opponent it's an instant foul and possibly a technical. And then there are the pundits, who all seem to want to disavow her. Who want to claim that she's not the reason interest in the league is growing despite the evidence which is unimpeachable.

I just look at it all and shake my head. Can you imagine if Caitlin Clark was a young black woman in a predominantly white league. If they did the things they're doing to her, it would be a massive race issue. These people are so blind to their own racism (and yes! You can be racist if you're from a minority). They're on the wrong side of history, and I can't wait for the inevitable retreat when all these people eventually realise the error they've made. The excuses they'll make to absolve themselves, to claim the position of the victim... it's going to be epically entertaining
