FAA is 4-6 vs Zverev, but has won the last two. Zverev has won their only two clay match-ups, and you've got to figure hiim a strong favorite. Berrettini could be a bit more difficult for him, depending upon if Matteo is healthy. Sascha has the edge overall at 5-3 but they're 2-2 on clay. Cobolli is 1-3 vs. AZ, but Tiafoe is 1-9 and Arnaldi 0-3, so I'm guessing Alex is hoping for Big Foe or Little Matteo.

As for the upcoming QFs, I'm thinking Zverev vs. Jodar comes down to Sascha's serve. If he's on, I think he'll win. If not, I think Jodar's grit could give him the win. Overall, slight edge to Sascha.

Fonzie vs. Mensik could be interesting. I think this mostly depends upon stamina. They've only played once, back at the Next Gen Finals in 2024 when Fonseca won. I've got to think that Fonzie is the favorite, though, as he's really playing like a top 5 guy, whereas Mensik is also playing really well, but more top 10ish, imo. Edge Fonzie.

Cobolli vs. Auger-Aliassime. I was surprised to see that Cobolli is 2-0 vs FAA, both on hards in 2024. But FAA was struggling a bit back then, at least until late in the year. This could be a tough one, but I'm giving the edge to FAA.

Berrettini vs. Tiafoe/Arnaldi. I think Matteo has the edge against either, as long as he's healthy.

So my SF predictions:

Zverev vs. Fonseca
Berrettini vs. FAA

The final depends on how people look at the end of the semifinals. I'm worried that Fonzie looked exhausted at the end of the Ruud match...the tournament grind may be catching up to him.

I saw the whole match. It was extremely physical. Actually it was extreme in all senses, as they were constantly adapting to each other, so it was probably mentally tough as well. Both players were hitting like there was no tomorrow. The level of this match was way above the Ruud x Mensik one. This bodes well for Fonseca, but... every match has its own story. Anwyay, regarding stamina, Mensik also played a lot of five setters, actually I thnk he is the one who will not be able to cope with a hard, physical match. But I am biased.

As long as someone defeat Zverev I will be happy
Zverev has had a easy draw, he hasnt been pushed., we all know when pushed he collapses, can Jodar put enough pressure on Zverev that is the question?

I also hope Fonseca can recover physically, their match was extreme, he is young and he has far more weapons than Mensik.

I would not right off Cobolli he has a complete game and is a very good clay court player, even though you are more likely to show more bias to FAA

I don’t like that match up for Felix..he was previously cousins friends with Matteo and I felt he was too close personally with Berrenttini at the time..If it happens I hope someone gets inside Felix’s head to crush Matteo..speaking of head doctor coaching, El Dude do you think they should add Toni back to the team? Where’s Tossip for the inside info from Canada

Leave my Matteo alone okay, he has been through hell and back!
Also I am not righting off Cobolli to defeat FAA, he has a complete game one the clay and has just lost one set to make the QFs
