Ruud needs a big reset in set 2. His failure to keep ahead in set 1 after securing the break is his downfall. The only thing that may help him is if he can make this a war of attrition.

I'm in a worst possible place to watch this, on some birthday party of some kid and sports bar is supposed to have well RG final on the screen, but they don't have it. I pulled out my phone and just watch it there. Ignoring the socializing, it's too crowdy and too noisy. Some might say I'm Ruud hahaha.

Novak still won a set while not at his best, raised the level as usual when it mattered. He'll play more freely from now on.

I caught a glimpse of Novak’s mum. She used to hate Federer a lot. Things may have changed now since he retired.
