what on earth is going on in Lala? Most of their unrestricted free agent guys have left! LeBron, Smart, Kennard. I'm hearing Hachimura's likely on his way too! Who's out there for them to improve this team??

The first time I really thought about LeBron's place on the Greatest of All Time list was in my spring break trip to Portugal in 2018. At the time, LeBron had made 7 consecutive trips to the NBA Finals. I was pretty sure that it wasn't going to be 8, as his Cavaliers team was pitiful and had a makeover halfway through the season. Plus, the Sixers were in the midst of a 16-game winning streak. Then, LeBron had his best playoffs ever. He single-handedly willed his team to series wins over Indiana and Boston, and his performance in the sweep of Toronto is the best ever playoff series by any NBA player. When LeBron led his Cavaliers team to win over Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum's Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals, I moved LeBron to #1 on my Greatest of All Time list.

I have some beachfront properties in south Florida where I can use a investor partner like yourself.

lol! when I saw spring break mentioned I didn't bother responding. It's an age thing, and that's fine. Everyone's entitled to their opinions. The reality as we all know is that Lebron's best playoff year is not significantly different from MJ's playoff average. The gap is so wide it still bewilders me that this thing is actually a real debate :D

I’m guessing you are too young to have seen Jordan. The 1993 NBA Finals is probably the best playoff series ever, especially given the stakes. I don’t see any argument where he’s #1 and I also don’t see any where he is lower than #4 as it takes moving a bunch of goalposts and just discounting pretty much everything he’s done to put him lower than that .

Agreed.. Just think about Michael’s demeanor..even when the Bulls lost a game or series, Jordan never whined or cried. He gave the press ZERO ammunition or anything for bulletin boards. He just went to weight room and worked on becoming a better team player for the type of team he had. Can you imagine if he would have recruited Dominque Wilkins or Marquis Johnson from up to road in Milwaukee to go against Magic Lakers, Bird Celtics or the Bad Boys during the first three peat championship team.

Powell signs with the Bulls. The Heat are still too flawed to be a serious contender after this IMO. Does that change if LeBron goes there and plays PG? Probably, but even then they still need to add some depth.

It is funny seeing Laker fans hate on LeBron and say they can now be fans of the team again. They forget just how bad the franchise was the 6 years before he got there

that's true. And I''m not exactly a Lebron fan
I just don’t get the mindset. Somehow they make it a Kobe vs LeBron thing just with him being on the team. But no one is going to argue LeBron is a better Laker than Kobe who is either #2 or #3 as a Laker. LeBron might not even be a top 10 Laker.

I only see a few put him ahead of Magic. That one shouldn’t be a debate either haha. But since they both played full careers with LA it comes down to where you put both on the all-time list. I have Magic at #4 a hair below LeBron. Take Magic’s career of 12 seasons and put that against anyone’s first 12 seasons and he is easily #2 to MJ. Obviously the full picture counts and many ATG’s won rings after year 12, but Magic was dominant and is often underrated.

Darth.Lebron is a better all around player than Magic. Magic/Kobe is still the greatest Lakers of All time..

Debatable AP and you know I’m not a Bron hater like most people. I don’t really see Bron as a Magic 2.0. They both have advantages over each other. And Magic was obviously one hell of a leader on top of the skill set.

oh I completely rate Magic. But it always amuses me that on the one hand Kobe playing with Shaq is used against him, but Magic playing with Kareem is glossed over. I think Magic had more really good guys playing with him, and as you know I really rate the two Kobe got without Shaq. That said... you also know I think both of these guys are above Lebron. I personally wouldn't die on a ditch to say Kobe is above Magic. But as usual I think for some reason you seriously under rate Kobe. It's interesting to me that if you asked most players of the 90s and noughties, they would rate Kobe far higher than you do :) But as I said... I was just pointing out what I perceived as a discrepancy. Happy to look at them as 1A and 1B :)

oh and by the way, if Magic didn't have HIV, it's possible this wouldn't even be a discussion. But then as Rafa said... IF, IF, IF... if Borg had continued to play how many more slams would he have won?
