He seems to have been docile in the first halves of both games, but come alive reasonably well particularly in the 4th quarters. I agree.. if he puts it all together it's a wrap.

I'm really frustrated with Wemby though. He really needs to be operating nearer the post in this match up. It feels like the Knicks were dominating the boards, and frankly Wemby's shooting is really not up to scratch to be messing around with so many 3s and even middies. When... (not if) he misses there's no one around who's winning the rebound battle against the Knicks. He needs to trust the guards, but it almost felt at certain points that they were trying to feed him. He NEEDS to feed them.
the real issue with the Spurs is still DeAaron Fox.. yes he had a horrible mid range shooting game #1 and played pretty good game #2.. However, he should have gotten the ball out of Victor's hand when Victor tried to start the fast break to the worst ball handler on the court , Castle. Also, the last play of the game.. He should have taken the ball to hole or tried another mid range bunny shot instead of putting all the pressure on young Victor. No way Bronson is gonna pass the rock to KAT or anyone, Big Body Bronson is not afraid of the moment.. His dad show him at a young age ( there are YouTube videos of this ) that he wasn't going to be a big guard and that he had to learn to use his body to create separation so he could get his shot off against taller and bigger defenders.. Brilliant work daddy Bronson

I think Wemby has a chance to turn it around. It'll be very difficult though. But he has that spiteful competitiveness that MJ, Kobe and perhaps Steph have. It involves a component of self honesty that's rate. If he watches those games, he's smart enough to see where he's going wrong. We'll get to see if he really is, not just the generational talent we know he is, but if he is a generational winner as well. If he fails it doesn't mean he isn't one, but for sure what he does, how he does it will be very interesting. Either way I'm happy whoever wins. At least it wasn't any of the teams I really didn't want to see holding up the Larry O'brien :)
He is spiteful but he doesnt have the basketball IQ like those guys ..Victor stay into his feelings too long..

I unplugged this weekend somewhere with no technology so I have not watched the second game and I was surprised when I saw the result. Spurs usually stepped up when needed and game two was needed, at home.
Now, I don't know how the game developed but I stand by my first game analysis of Wemby's game, assuming he played the same way: On set offence, he is not a one on one threat yet. He does not have an amazing post up game , which he should have. So, he does not command a double team. Which means defenders can hone in on the shooters and leave no one open. Pick and roll dunks are not enough.
Wemby should spend serious time with Hakeem this summer.

Yeah but what did they do in their time spent together? Drinking beer and watching porn does not count ! ;) I am not seeing any Hakeem inspired foot work from Wemby yet. No dream shakes.

Castle drives to the basket, gets fouled 4 times, finishes the point and it is not an and one. He asks the ref simply "How?" three times. I am saying the same thing to myself as I am reading his lips. This would have been called after the first foul during regular season. What the fuck does " the refs are letting them play today" even mean? Definitions do not change from regular season to post season. Call it when you see it ! Period. Officiating is really turning me off from a game I have loved since I was 5.

Congrats to the Spurs for making it a series. Young team , 0-2 down, at MSG...Good job
DeAaron Fox was clutch tonight on defense and offense..he learned his lesson from game #2..I expect the Spurs to blow them out game #4..I heard Knicks started a go fund me to pay Trump to not attend the next game in NYC

That was an entertaining game for today’s standards, though that isn’t saying much. Way too many 3’s as usual but I will admit a lot of them were good looks set up by great passing from both teams. Uneven reffing of course but I knew that’d be the case once I saw the bald dome of Marc Davis was in the house.

Winner of game 4 takes the series, hoping it’s the Knicks.

I’ll just leave these here

2009 was probably the last year it was a debate between those two. I get why Kobe fans are defensive on that because if LeBron is better at age 24 than Kobe was at 30 then that isn’t a good look for the argument that he was greater overall. The argument he is greater overall is rings and rings only IMO.

As it stands it’s a tough call in 09. Sure, Kobe had more tools in his arsenal and that was always the case, but LeBron was way more athletic and there was no stopping him in the paint. These guys seem to say Kobe opened things up more for his teammates based on his scoring ability. Even if that’s the case that is more than cancelled out by LeBron’s passing which was a ton better than Kobe’s. I love how that guy thinks the Cavs weren’t bad since they had multiple shooters > 40% on threes that year. Gee, I wonder why you had that many guys over 40% :) The Lakers won it all without Kobe having an amazing cast but that cast with the greatest coach of all time is still way way beyond what LeBron was dragging.

I completely agree. Brunson still got a lot of his 'and ones' though.

it's funny I'm actually even more impressed with the Knicks after that one. They came damn close to stealing it at the end. Wemby got his 3s working better tonight, but I have to say, I don't think this is how he'll fully realise his potential. I appreciate they're grabbing him near the post, but he has to figure out how to deal with that. It blows my mind how few alley oops the Spurs try, particularly out of the pick and roll. I can't see how the Knicks can stop Wemby without being exposed to uncontested 3s.

Anyway I agree, winner of game 4 likely takes it all. I want this thing to go to game 7, even if that implies I'm supporting the Spurs. It's more like I want Wemby to get his ring, but I also want the Knicks and Mike Brown to get it! What an enjoyable conundrum

Totally agree about the lack of alley oops to Wemby. Overall, Wemby reaching anywhere near his full potential is predicated on the following: 1. putting his 14 foot reach, alien ass in the post for most of the game where it belongs. I know in today’s NBA teams are mostly allergic to running an organized offense but JFC, imagine this man just in the post most of the time and being completely unstoppable in the pick and roll with the talented athletic guards on the team. 2. becoming a quicker, more decisive passer. He’s decent at this but there’s times he holds the ball too long with the double team coming. An open teammate is a bucket in today’s NBA even if they aren’t under the hoop, as they all can shoot and Wemby could even just be missing opportunities for hockey assists and 3. the most difficult of all…staying healthy over the course of a fairly long career which today means at least 15+ years. We can talk evolution and sports science but I’m skeptical a guy that size won’t have major foot and/or knee injuries that derail his career early. I say enjoy Wemby while we have him.

The Spurs did a great job forcing New Jalen Brunson back to Ole ball bouncing shot Clock killing Brunson which completely stops the ball from moving and took Big KAT's shot attempts to the single digits.. Great Coaching by Mark Johnson taking Victor off Kat but chasing Brunson.. they made him work!!

Do you think the Refs want to see a sweep or stretch out the series so they can make a little more dinero
