Do you think if SGA played in the 80's and the 90s vs Dennis Johnson, Gary Payton, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Ron Harper and Michael Jordan he would avg more than 15 points a game?
SGA has a super high IQ. He would figure out how to be effective, if he could recover from the concussions he would receive.

Joking aside, you are missing one thing. NBA was more physical in the 80's and 90;s, but the players are much fitter today. You had to bribe players to go to the gym in the 80's. Now, they live in the gym.

Listen, do you think Alex English or Chris Mullen are better players than SGA? If you say yes, then there is no point talking basketball with you. But if you think SGA is better in every way like I do, you have to understand that if those two, who are not the biggest physical specimens NBA has ever seen, averaged close to 25 points most seasons they played, SGA could sure as hell manage 25 a game, and then some. Do you remember Bernard King? Who used to be the tinniest power forward , just about 6.7 , light as hell, but averaged 30 points a game for many seasons? I do. Where do you rank him among all time greats?

SGA is an MVP, and a super smart player. He would do just fine.

I see Boston already has their Jekyll and Hyde act going. If they keep that up, the Knicks series could be very interesting again, assuming NY survives the first round.

Every time I say to myself OK, this team has it going, that team lays an egg. Only OKC is steady. SA too, so far.

it's ironic we were talking about the 2016 Warriors recently. These guys go deep into it. They actually talk about it about Steph's injury. It's crazy to me how folks disregard or forget that now...

They're so flakey! But... the Pistons are the real disgrace of the Eastern Conference. I'm actually starting to wonder if Bickerstaff is just a regular season coach. He seems to do wonders for teams in the regular season then it's an utter disaster in the playoffs. Wonder if they'll give him a chance to learn

I do have to say though.. it's good to see Embiid playing meaningful basketball again. I almost forgot that when he's on, particularly when he faces Jokic he often bosses him. A guy like that can do things. Not that I think the Celtics shooting will switch off enough to give 76ers a chance

Speaking of guys like PG that unfortunately had the major injuries and now you’re surprised when they play for an extended stretch…It’s even tougher for Embiid as he is such an elite talent, even above PG at his best.

I highly doubt the 76ers make a comeback but with him back in there it’s not a walk in the park anymore after laying an egg at home.

I remember when Embiid was unplayable. Don't you remember that @DarthFed ? We marveled at his and the Brow's level.
Each 76ers were smart.. I would feed embiid the ball 30 times a game. like chuckles said. only 3 things are gonna happen.. he will miss the shot, he will get foul or he will score.. as the great song from the 70s Dont be Sad, 2 out 3 AINT BAD!!!

more than 25 per game?
Yes. Murat gave an excellent example of HOF players from that time period that poured in a lot of points.

Sports move on, and basketball has moved on possibly more than most other sports. SGA would be looked at like a freak if you drop him in the game 30-40 years ago. I do get that players of today would have to adapt a bit to hand checking and more physicality but the athleticism, shooting and all around play would trump that in spades.

SGA would have been stifled by those defenders who were all stronger and more athletic than he currently.. Do you think SGA could have scored on Michael Copper or Joe Dumars? Be honest.. SGA has developed a nice game which is depended on playing in the most non contact allowed era ever in the NBA.. I give him credit, he really have developed his game that suits this era..Can you imagine if Reggie Miller played in today's era.. he would avg high 20s or low 30s

He’s a beast but even when healthy he always struggled in the playoffs. The higher intensity and extra few MPG seemed to get to him.
to be fair some of those playoff injuries were flukes. The eye orbital injury for example
