After his round of 16 win against Kopria, Jodar will likely to be seeded for RG and will be the youngest men's this year at 19y 8 months.
Fonseca will be the second youngest at 19 yo and 9 months, just 1 month older :)

Jannik Sinner ends the great run of Jodar in Madrid with a 62 76(0)
11 points in a row to close out the match
Jodar had his chances late in the 2nd set, but in the TB Jannik locked down
Jannik has now reached the SFs or better in all 9 Masters events
Jannik Forza
BTW Jannik signed the camera after his win "What A Player".

Jodar will be at a career high of #34 after his QF in Madrid

Fils defeats Lehecka, 63 64 their first meeting on clay, their H2h was tied at 2 all before this match
Fils is into Madrid SF for the first time
Before his injury he'd never made a Masters SF before, now he's done it in back to back Masters events

Fils will face Sinner in the SF

Lets wait Madrid is high altitude with a difficult bounce, I would rather see the results at Roma, where it is a better indication on Real Clay court conditions before Roland Garros

Alexander Blockx closing in on his first career Top Ten win, leading FAA 76(3) 4-1, FAA had 17 UFE in the 1st set, didnt really address his UFE in the 2nd set.
Blockx looks like a young Milos Raonic to me :)
Well done Blockx, he gets his first career Top Ten win defeating FAA (3) 76(3) 63!
Back to back Masters R16
FAA blew his chance to be #2 at RG.. he is turning into the previous era of top ten players who couldnt break though (Ferrer, Monfils, JoWillieTs, Tomas B).. Do you guys think anyone of them will make it into the hall of Fame(they were all bridesmaids to the Big 3 plus Andy and Stan)?

I dont think FAA best surface is clay quite frankly, I think I posted that to you a few days ago, personally speaking those players you mentioned into the hall of Fame, No.
Maybe El Dude can give his opinion

Madrid might be Arthur's best opportunity ... As a late Sister Susan aka Moxie always posted from our discussions.. Madrid is more like a hard court... "just a hard surface sprinkled with a little bit of red brick dirt on top!" Sinner is really too consistent to be defeated on clay unless it Alcaraz IMOl

Hang on Sinner defeated Alcaraz in straight sets at MC a few weeks ago?
Madrid is like a HC with clay over the top, that is why it isnt a True Bounce for starters, btw Jannik's record on hard is very good :)
Remember the days when we wanted Rafa not to play Madrid, brings back many memories of discussions between you, me and Susan and Kerian
It was a pointless discussion as Rafa being Spanish had to play unless he was injured

True .. FAA has played some clay court tennis at the highest level if you recall he pushed Rafa to the brink at RG.. IMO it was an almost perfect clay court performance.. FAA had only 3 or 4 UFEs in the final set but the GOAT had 11 winners.. Any other player that God has created loses to FAA that day.. the question is has FAA gotten better since that performance.. No

I think I may be missing your point about Sinner. As for Rafa, coming from IW and sometimes Miami.. playing and winning MC and Barcelona is too much to ask for Rafa to win every year at Madrid.. He had to be jaded numerous of times..

Yep I remembered that match against Rafa, FAA did play lights out, the trick with clay is to keep your UFE low,

From what I read, if Alcaraz did well in Miami, ( winning the final), remember he did not play Madrid last year due to a leg injury he would not have played Barcelona,he didnt reach finals in IW or Miami this year, with Jannik winning both titles, and went onto win MC
One of my last conversations with Susan was, we both thought Alcaraz should drop one clay tournament, she suggested Barcelona, In regards to Rafa playing every clay tournament, yes fatique can be one of the factors, in saying that Rafa was expected to play Madrid even on one leg :) mind the pun.
I am Over people saying Sinner wins because he is consistent, there is more to Jannik's game, apart from the consistency he shows! Meh! good I got that off my chest :)
