The 29 year old Scot who split with Amelie Mauresmo prior to the French Open made the statement prior to the start of the Aegon Championships at Queens Club, London.

"I had two very successful years working with him. I'm looking forward to Ivan joining the team again and helping me try and reach my goals. Ivan's single-minded and knows what it takes to win the big events"

Under Lendl's watch, Murray won the US Open, the Olympic Games and Wimbledon during a highly successful two year period from 2012-2014.

"Andy and I have always stayed in contact so it should be fun to be part of his team again." said the 56 year old former world number one, who won eight grand slam titles in his own right.

Jamie Delgado, who was appointed by Murray in February will retain his position as assistant coach.

I think this is a great call by Murray. Lendl made a clear difference when he was in camp and it translated to a different attitude on court and of course, two majors and an Olympic title.

Murray on Lendl reunion: "Provided everything’s good, it will hopefully go on for a long time." -

I had also read it was just for the grass court season, but I'm guessing that this means it's likely going to be beyond that.

I hope Lendl can really help him like he did before

Not a great move by Lendl but the money is probably too good. Murray's age is up there already, hasn't got much time to improve really. In a year or two the young ones will mature and become contenders while Murray will just be another old timer on his way down. Small window of opportunity really!!

I disagree, 29 years old is a good time to learn more at least for three more years, if not ask Stan who after 29 has got better results than when he was younger.
Muzz doesn't need to learn too much but he needs to improve that "poor" mentality and easy to lose his self control which is very important in the crucial points during the matches. many times there is a thin line to win or to lose
