I have only seen Roger and Novak roll out of bed without any warm up tourneys. We shall see.
Yeah, I hear you. I think the larger concern is whether or not Carlos is ready for seven matches in a row. There's always that early round danger, but then he should be warmed up and in good form by R32 or R16, but then at what point does he get tired? He'll need some quick wins.

Not surprising. I told you Art would boss the points. I never thought he would do it in straights and figured this would go the distance, but Foe is threatening to ingest a bakery product

Are you saying that Frances order a croissant or was it really a bagel?

Congrats to Fils. Becomes the next inductee into the M1000 club. He should send Cobolli a gift as he removed Rafa from his path.

Glad to see Fils finally get one. He was looking like a legit Masters contender in late 2024, when he won two 500s, but then had that setback in the second half of last year and some bumps this year. But it always felt like a matter of time. I'm not sure he's got the game to beat Sincaraz in a Slam, but he's going to be a darkhorse going forward.

Here's an update to a chart - the age of players when they won their first big title (Open Era first only):

Glad to see that Brazilian doubles team Luz/Matos backed up their Montreal title with another one in Cincinnati.

One small error: Zverev should be in light green, now that he won the French Open earlier this year.
Yeah, I realized there are a couple errors. I'm also going to put Sinner in dark green and change the key to 5+ Slams. Dude deserves it.

This is Sad!!

Gaël Monfils has never won an ATP Masters 1000 title. Despite having recorded 146 wins at this level, he holds the record for the most victories without securing a title. His career has been marked by impressive performances, but a Masters 1000 title has eluded him throughout his time on the tour.
