Finally here is the new coach - and the one I've hoped (article 2 hours old)

http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/anden_sport/tennis/article2136101.ece

Caroline : Here is my new coach
- I am very pleased to work hard together with Thomas Högstedt , says Caroline Wozniacki and dreaming of her first grand slam

- I would love to train Caroline . I'm just waiting for the call.

So said a smiling Thomas Högstedt to Ekstra Bladet in January 2010 , when he was coach of Li Na had helped to expedite Wozniacki out of the Australian Open .

Now the experienced Swede's dream come true. The parties have signed a contract for the whole of 2014 begins shortly season preparations in Dubai.

A work that they both look forward to.

- I am excited to start training with Thomas , says Caroline Wozniacki .

- I am ready to develop my game and to work harder than ever before. And I know that when I delivered the job, so I will also be a player who can win a grand slam .

Obviously it is a goal that also Högstedt see flashing at the top of its internal scoreboard . A seen as a heretic corner that last year he even saw as coach of superstar Maria Sharapova .

- I very much look forward to my new challenge as coach of Caroline and to improve her game . Together we will try to reach a level where she can win a grand slam , says Thomas Högstedt , who for many years has been a very close and very helpful tennis acquaintance of the family Wozniacki .

The Dane had last year big trouble finding ground with only Ricardo Sanchez and since Thomas Johansson as coaches . This time she goes to the net with a completely different attitude :

-Thomas is very professional and positive - both on and off the field . He is tough and pushes one to the extreme. He has done a good job with both Li Na and Sharapova .

- It will be healthy for both Caroline and Piotr , believes her American manager John Tobias, while Wozniacki assures that he will not interfere in anything that has to do with tennis .

Congrats to Woz on getting this great coach. If anyone can help her game, it is Hogstedt. Let's see what the new year brings.

As long as daddy is pulling her strings, a new coach will find it hard to get the job done...

What about Maria? She will find it hard to get a coach who can really add anything new to her game since she has a hard time listening to new instruction.

So, the rumors were true after-all? Seems like the negotiations took a while. As expected.

Caroline should discipline herself to work with one coach, like she did with her Dad and stick to it for at least 2-3 years. One year is certainly not enough.
Meanwhile, Dad can be an adviser and DAD!

Dad does not need to be an advisor Kiu. He just needs to be Dad and let the coach do coaching things.

We will see what happens. She had a nice fall for her, but still isn't beating the people she needs to beat for the big titles. However, if Jelena Jankovic can come out of nowhere and get back into the top 8 and find herself in the finals and semis of big tournaments, there is no reason why Caroline can't.

I understand that but tell that to his daughter!
It will be tough separating that girl from her daddy.

Then her game will continue to suffer the same fate. Dad did a great job getting her this far. Now it's time for someone else to interject their plan to get her game back on track.

Its difficult to give her a good new serve, she can moonball her opponents to oblivion because thats what she knows best.Tomas can give her consistency on that weak fh just like h did with pova.
Just dont see a slam in her immediate future...not in my tea leaves..

Thanks for all your comments. I think that Caroline has come this far that she'll try to commit fully to tennis. You can see that on the length of her off-season - only 14 days hoiliday then she's going to work with Thomas in DUbai. As a matter of fact Piotr has done a lot of things together with Caroline to improve her gameplay THIS year. She only needs to get some new tricks before she is at the top again. Those of you who have seen her matches I think will agree with me in that. I will post new information when it's available.:D

Here is the article as written on an American site - with extra comments:

How is this relevant and is it even accurate? Now you really are blatantly trolling this thread, tossip. Everyone who has trolled this thread with non-sequitors and insults gets a warning. Several of you are complete detriments to constructive conversation here, and it has to stop.
