I dont know what the problem Elena is having today she won the 1st 5 games of the 1st set and then her game has Imploded lost the 1st set 75 against Eala, and is down a break in the 2nd set, though she just came back from being down love 40 and held serve
Elena UFE count is just poor 34? Eala has been using the body serve against Elena, which is good thinking seeing she is tall and has good wing span
Eala leads 4-2 2nd set, Eala has heavy strapping on her left shoulder area, though it is not hindering her serve, she did a wonderful cross court fhand winner that found Elena way out of court,
Eala leads 5-3
Elena with a DF and Eala has MP found her 1st serve in the nick of time and she holds serve
Eala will serve for the match at 5-4 and she has played smart tennis today and Elena after the first 5 games of the 1st set has become a UFE Machine 41 in total, and her game Imploded
MP for Eala as Elena fhand goes long
A great performance from Eala today defeating the world No 2 75 64

BTW,
Elena has a chance to get to the No 1 ranking, in the grass season, at present with the way she has played, there is no way, her movement on grass has been exposed, her serve has let her down in big moments, she has the leading serve in the WTA, her once big fhand again has let her down, today in her match against Eala she had 41 UFE in 2 sets of tennis? that is just poor. 3 consecutive poor tournaments from Elena.
Elena is playing at Bad Homburg, hopefully she can get her game in order there, before Wimbledon

When ever Badosa of late gets a wild card, her present ranking cannot get her into tournaments unless she plays qualies, she might win her first match and gets defeated like today in the QF match v Noska, going down in straight sets 61 63, Badosa should start playing lower grade tournaments to get the match play she needs, and try get her current ranking of #142 down, to think she was a former No2 in the world, I know injuries her back have played a large part in her ranking slipping, still she needs to address it ASAP

Quite a match between Pegula v Keys they were tied at 2 all coming into the QF, Jess played the big points better when it mattered
Pegula d Keys 76(5) 76(8)

Sabalenka for the life of me dont make it 'one of those days' Meh! she has become a DF machine Help Me take some pace off your serve Saba, now a double break for the WC Nikola Bartunkova who has been returning Saba's serves to her feet, and deserves to be up a double break leading 4-1
Nikola 5-1 great serving take Saba way out of court, Saba is simmering at the other end, Saba knows she has to do something,
Saba uses the F bomb as she DFs, good lord she is unraveling again, gets a warning and rightly so from the umpire using the F bomb
Nikola returning the ball well, stepping inside the baseline, make Saba more frustrated than she already is!
Saba with another DF and Nicola has SP, good change up from Saba with a lovely drop shot volley with disguise.
Saba holds yes miracles do happen lol!
Nikola will serve for the 1st set 5-2
Well played 1st set Nikola winning 6-2 lets see if Saba can re set her game, control her emotions and get back in this match, if not she will be gone in straight sets, Saba taking a much needed toilet break

Saba gets broken in her first service game in the 2nd set, shades of the 1st set, with Nikola returning Saba's serve, taking the ball on etc etc
Saba needs to break straight back. Another thing Saba is used to be the one in control and attacking, at the moment she has to defend not use to doing this, also cant get into any rhythm.
Nikola is just dismantling the game of Saba at present and Saba just hasnt got a clue what to do
Nikola leads 3-0 a lovely drop shot with disguise from Nikola, using it wisely today,
Nikola not giving Saba ' an inch' and leads 4-0 2nd set
Saba with a love service game, what she needed though is it too late to make a come back in this match?
Saba gets her first break of the match as Nikola DFs? though can she hold her serve?
Nikola fhand down the line has been a 'treat in this match so far' Saba just has to watch it fly by
3 games in a row now from Saba? Nikola leads 4-3 in the 2nd set
Saba breaks again and now it is 4 games all, credit to Saba, from coming back, quite frankly I thought she was gone, of course little do I know lol!
Saba with a good service game and leads 5-4, BTW Nicola has out aced Saba today
5 games all, Nikola holds serve
Nikola will serve to force a TB for the 2nd set at 5-6 she is still in contention in this 2nd set
6 games all TB for the 2nd set
Wow off her shoe laces and keeping her racquet head high a bhand winner from Saba
2nd DF from Nikola in the TB and Saba leads 5-2
Saba wins the TB with ease 76(2) coming back in the 2nd set from being down 0-4
Going 3
Saba with the momentum now in the 3rd set gets a early break and consolidates and leads 2-0
Just when you thought Saba had the momentum, she gets broken and then she breaks Nikola and gets broken again Meh! Nikola to her credit is not going away in this match
4 games all 3rd set.
Saba breaks and will serve for the match at 5-4 after this match I need a strong espresso and a headache tablet and a good lie down!
Saba's kick serve has been her saviour today and Nikola uses her great fhand and it is now deuce of course Saba unleashes her serve with an Ace
NOO Saba wrong time to use the drop shot
Saba serves well on the deuce side of the court
Saba gets it down somehow and wins the match 26 76(2) 64 and well down to the Czech player WC Nikola plays soo well on the grass with good variety in her game, though as good champions do they find a way to win!

Eala WC continues her winning ways taking out the 6th seed Svitolina in straight sets 63 64!

I thought the match between Pegula v Sabalenka was going to be 3 sets as Saba was serving for the 2nd set at 5-4 not to be great return match from Jess and back at 5 all, Saba served held and now Jess will serve to force a TB for the 2nd set at 5-6, Jess won the 1st set 64
6 games all 2nd set and a TB for the 2nd set
A few drops of rain now play has been stopped with Jess leading 3-1, both players have left the court, and the court is now being covered, a blessing in disguise for Saba, who should have won the 2nd set, though good play by Jess, again Saba has shown frustration in this match today, like yesterday.
Play has finally resumed Pegula 3 all, Saba 3 points in a row
DF from Saba 4 all
One 2 Punch from Saba 5-4 and with a ripping fhand return
Saba 6-4
Saba again with a fhand winner and she takes the 2nd set 76(4) Indeed the rain delay was a huge blessing in disguise for Saba she came out roaring, not like the 1st set at all
Going 3
Pegula broke Saba and now has consolidated the break
Pegula leads 3-0
Pegula reading the serve of Saba well, taking the ball early on the return Saba has no time to respond
One way traffic for Pegula now and she breaks again
Pegula leads 4-0, Saba has all the weapons in her game to excel and win Wimbledon it is just that she cant seem to get it all together in her game when it matters
Pegula leads 5-0 and I cant see Saba coming back, I thought she had the momentum coming into the 3rd set, Pegula had other ideas, she has taken the time away from Saba and deserves all the credit
Pegula has been "flawless' in the 3rd set and Saba has no answers
Pegula with 3 MPs
I MP saved with a great Ace
2nd MP saved with a bhand winner
Well done to Pegula who defeated Sabalenka 64 67(4) 60 what a great performance from Jess especially in that 3rd set she was Flawless, btw this was their first meeting on grass as well
Jess is the first player into the final

Finally the Berlin Final has started
4 games all 1st set
Great slice from Linda now has BP, great drive volley from Jess back to deuce
Linda returning deep with depth
Linda with her 2nd BP bhand down the line long back to deuce
Nice drop shot from Jess
Linda with her 3BP, snuffed out from Jess with a good 1st serve, deuce
Linda with a bhand winner and wins the 1st set 64
BTW if Linda can win this title she will crack the Top Ten
One thing I have noticed with Linda that she has improved her movement out of sight, also she has improved her net play and her transition to the net, she has good soft hands, also she hasnt dropped a set all week coming into the final
